Mine was Mr Frosty. Far too messy! My mum bought it for my 21st birthday as I'd gone on about it so much Smile

Mine was Mr Frosty too. So much so that as soon as my own Dc was old enough (about thirty years later) I went and bought one (for DC not me, obvs Grin). Big build up & Utter letdown Sad

frogsbreath · 15/12/2018 19:20

Mr frosty! I bought my kid one. It was crap.

Bestseller · 15/12/2018 19:20

I asked for a whistle. I think my parents must have decided not a chance but weakened at the last moment. I remember my dad going out on Christmas Eve afternoon and when he came back he told me he'd seen Santa who hadn't been able to get a whistle but had got something similar. It was a recorder.

Wooooooooaaaaaaaahhhhhhh · 15/12/2018 19:25

I cried for the My Little Pony nursery, then one year got one! I treasured it for years.

Always wanted the snail Keeper but never got it. A friend of mine had the horse Keeper.

TokyoSushi · 15/12/2018 19:28

I got the snail keeper, it was fabulous!! Just been looking at big yellow teapots on eBay, they still look amazing! Sad

TokyoSushi · 15/12/2018 19:28

I might ask for one for my 40th!

UnapologeticallyUnhinged · 15/12/2018 19:32

@TokyoSushi that's how I feel about the Fisher Price School blackboard set. I wish I'd never given it to my stupid cousin.

UnapologeticallyUnhinged · 15/12/2018 19:37

I meant as in I covet them on eBay.

Watch as eBay sees an unprecedented spike in Big Yellow Teapot sales.

beardeddragon174 · 15/12/2018 19:41

@unapologeticallyunhinged they could make a MINT now if they started selling them in sizes 37 and up...

Chesneyhawkes1 · 15/12/2018 19:55

Oh I had the snail thing you could lock stuff away in. I'd like it again now. Wonder if you can still get them.

HalfBloodPrincess · 15/12/2018 20:13

I have the snail, swan, rabbit and horse keyper, and an orange (think it’s supposed to be a) ladybird keypers in my loft, plus a few little softer bodied ones without keys.

My mum never threw anything away so when she downsized a few years ago we got all our old toys back.

quiltedcameltoe · 15/12/2018 20:13

The gaudy pink barbie house with the lift. The barbie in the pink ball gown. I wasn't allowed them because my mother decided I was a tomboy.

I wasn't. Hmm

DrMidgeryMargery · 15/12/2018 20:14

I’ve just been watching old adverts on YouTube thanks to this thread and this guy reviewing Mr Frosty has cracked me up:

ballroompink · 15/12/2018 21:20

I had a snail keyper! No idea where it went sadly. I do still have my Polly Pockets though Grin

chunkyjumper · 15/12/2018 21:32

@GandalfsRing yes! I just googled it and you're right!
I think this was the one I had!

@UnapologeticallyUnhinged
I could have been a doctor noooooo 😂
Will just have to stick to the scientific research, so close

boymum9 · 15/12/2018 21:44

Super sticker factory as a kid...! Grin

IncyWincyGrownUp · 15/12/2018 21:57

I wanted Lego and a train set.

I wasn’t allowed them.

Larasshadow · 15/12/2018 22:08

Mine was Mr frosty, actually also got one for my 21st Lol

Anothermothersusername · 15/12/2018 22:09

As a child I always wanted a Blue bird ala cart kitchen. Oh and a pony. In hindsight I’m glad I didn’t get the pony!

UnapologeticallyUnhinged · 15/12/2018 22:09

@lily2403 bear in mind I played it with them and now I work in the Arts (I did love that retro styling mind)

jarhead123 · 15/12/2018 22:10

Baby born and Mr Frosty!

NameWithChange · 15/12/2018 22:23

Mr Frosty here too! Wow, so many of us wanted him and never got him!! 🤣

NancyHoHoHo · 15/12/2018 22:24

Oh...I was going to say a Mr Frosty.
Plus one of those Cadbury's chocolate dispensers.
Yes, a Girls World too.

MaitlandGirl · 15/12/2018 22:30

I really wanted a pony but never got one. Somehow Father Christmas knew that I was horribly allergic and had awful asthma attacks whenever I came into contact with horsehair.

I always thought Father Christmas was mean but looking back it was definitely a good thing.
