wtf ? why on earth would anyone with half a brain cell think that is a good thing ? if labour do succeed then hopefully he'd get ousted for someone else instead. the current government have left me very disillusioned but corbyn...really ??
what are your thoughts ?

Corbyn would be a great PM.

Andromeida59 · 10/12/2018 00:28

Ah yes the #JC9 as they call themselves. I think it's hilarious how people follow them without question. Especially one of them who is known by colleagues as being one of the laziest people in their position and constantly complains that they didn't realise that being on the NEC "would be so much work". Funny that they didn't even know what socialism was until it was advantageous to do so.

jukejuke · 10/12/2018 00:43

Those saying he would be so bad for high earners and property have no sympathy from me.

I am a single mum with a full time job and a spinal cord injury. I have 3 children and no support due to DV. I work bloody hard but my situation under conservative government is barely even an existence.

I'm doing a part time degree to better myself yet I'm not eligible for any loans to help.

I work full time but spend a ridiculous amount on childcare to enable me to do this.

The children's centres local to me have all closed as did my local centre supporting women who had experienced domestic violence.

I have to claim universal credit which I'm not even going into here that's a whole different thread of it's own, a stress I do not need and an absolute farce.

I do my shopping and make things last as long as I can. This week I batch cooked plain boiled rice and added eggs to make fried rice and it's lasted us for the last four days. I did my weekly shop this week using a calculator at the supermarket and managed to get own brand items and a shop of £22 but we are hungry. I fear not being able to put petrol in the car (not a motability car so I do get pip money but I can't go without car because I can only walk a short distance on crutches) or put electric or gas on the meter.
I fear my kids putting holes in their school uniforms and me being unable to replace them.
We have hungry days and have had to attend food banks. I'm sliding deeper into debt just to eat and put petrol in and basic things like that. I had never been to a food bank before the last few years but it's incredibly tough being at the bottom of the pile being the least able people of the pack, I'd love to be on the property ladder and I work hard but I can't see it happening.

Maybe think about that before you complain about being a high earner and having property when there are people who want to end actual struggling

Walkingdeadfangirl · 10/12/2018 03:41

I dont think people really know what a Corbyn government would actually do. They have sworn on live TV to destroy capitalism. That would change our country beyond what anyone has experienced in the past 60 years.

And you are deluded if you think the 'poor' will come out on top? Who do you think will pay for free university fees for the middle classes? The poor. Who do you think will pay for the trillion pound renationalisations, the poor.

Labour left us with no money, if you want to stick your head in the sand and blame the Tories for us having no money then you deserve what you get.

recently · 10/12/2018 06:48

I dont think people really know what a Corbyn government would actually do.

But they DO know what a Conservative government is like and it is bad. Also, I hate to use the words "project fear" but your post is basically that! Corbyn would still be part of the government and have to get laws passed by parliament - we're talking about him becoming PM not a dictator!

derxa · 10/12/2018 07:24

England is becoming a very dark and depressing place to live You don't even know that we live in the UK not 'England'

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 10/12/2018 07:30

Hermanhessescat

I take it you don't know what it's like in Venezuela in that case. Limited electricity and water, no food on the shelves, hardly any internet, pensions worth nothing.

Sounds amazing...

PumpkinKitty82 · 10/12/2018 07:31

Those who support people like Corbyn are a big part of the reason everything is so fucked today .
He’s a dangerous individual who I wouldn’t trust as far as I can through him.
Are the Tories any better? Probably not but I’d take them over that creature

puzzledlady · 10/12/2018 07:32

Nothing will/can be worse than JC being PM. Hes an absolute loose canon.

bellinisurge · 10/12/2018 07:34

I'm old. I lived through wankers like him taking control of stuff. And I'm usually a Labour voter. I know exactly what it would be like because I saw it first time around.

LizzieSiddal · 10/12/2018 07:37

Whatever you think of Corbyn, there are millions of people who will never vote for labour whilst he is leader. That fact has to be acknowledged.

He is keeping Labour from power.

StylishMummy · 10/12/2018 07:42

Why I'll never vote left

is it really possible corbyn will get into in #10 ?
TeddyIsaHe · 10/12/2018 07:42

Once again these ridiculous claims are hilarious. Stop parroting right-wing media, you all sound brainwashed!

Back up your claims with sources if you want to be taken seriously. The Daily Mail doesn’t count...

Im with you jukejuke...its a real struggle. Im a student too and single mum...i have to fund my own nhs radiography course.

Wait till we get all the high earners saying they have done well as they work so hard and were sensible about their choicd of partner ( as if those who are struggling dont work hard and seek out bad men.)
Oh and why retrain to work for public services like nhs when theres no money in it.

malificent7 · 10/12/2018 08:01

Ive actually been aaked that on here.

LizzieSiddal · 10/12/2018 08:03

Teddy Which posts are you referring to as “ridiculous claims”?

TeddyIsaHe · 10/12/2018 08:07

Corbyn is a dangerous individual - why?

We’ll be like Venezuela? That’s a daily mail favourite right there.

People don’t know what a Corbyn government will do! - well what will it do?!

birdsdestiny · 10/12/2018 08:07

Teddy if you had read the thread you would have seen that many of us have voted Labour all our lives and been involved in the party. I know this section of the party well. I can list corbyn voting record on the EU of you want one of my reasons for my concern and sense of betrayal. Nothing to do with the daily mail.

TeddyIsaHe · 10/12/2018 08:09

I have read the thread, I’ve posted on it plenty of times. I’m more interested in someone’s entire voting history rather than just one element of it. Corbyn’s voting past is a lot more in line with my ideals than any of the twats in government currently.

LizzieSiddal · 10/12/2018 08:13

Corbyn’s voting past is a lot more in line with my ideals than any of the twats in government currently.

Great, you vote for him then. But to suggest everyone who won’t vote for him are getting their views from the DM, is really patronising and rather silly.

TeddyIsaHe · 10/12/2018 08:16

I’m not suggesting that at all. What I am saying is that it is blatantly obvious that a lot of people on this thread have been reading too many red tops and believing them without any critical thinking.

That’s not to say EVERYONE EVER makes their choices that way. I understand why people vote Tory. I thinj there fools, but I respect their decision if they have concrete reasons to. Corbyn is a scary man who wants to ruin our country with his ideas is not a concrete reason, and is just a reactionary comment to propagnda they’ve been reading.

TeddyIsaHe · 10/12/2018 08:17

*think they’re - bloody hell! Sound like a daily mail reader with that typo!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 10/12/2018 08:19

*Another thing Corbyn would do is deal with the disgusting vitriolic hate filled right wing press.

How? With a knock at the door at 4 in the morning?

Sakura7 · 10/12/2018 08:26

Totally agree Teddy.

As for the idea that the Tories are fiscally responsible and Labour bankrupt the country, maybe look at the actual facts. Tories just crucify the poor and stifle public services in order to give tax breaks to the rich.
