the birth certificate can be reissued and that will make the Soham Murders a crime committed by a woman.

Huntley is the reason we have DBS checks. The various police forces had not connected the dots concerning their knowledge of him, and that's why they created the DBS checking.

I was just about to say there is no way this crime would be re-written as being committed by a woman called Nicola. But I'm reminded how there was no way 'Huntley could be considered a woman' five minutes ago.

I cannot imagine hearing that my daughter's murderer was using my name. Regardless of all the other awfulness.

The question for me is not 'why would a man pretend to be a women in prison' but 'why wouldn't they'? Access to women, better conditions, smaller, lower category prisons, messing with staff, forcing female guards to touch them. I used to visit male prisons as part of my job, still do sometimes. The male prisoners are desperate for contact with women, alarmingly so in some cases.

I grew up in Soham, and at the time of the murders, my DH and I were living with my parents, and had been for a couple of years. My parents lived in the same road as one of the families. It wasn't unusual to see both girls out and about in the area. They would also say hello, with a warm smile.

I witnessed firsthand what this bastard did to two families. What he did to the community I grew up in. He shouldn't even be walking the earth. So to read this, makes me feel sick to my stomach.

I hope with every fibre of my being none of it is true.

Have you actually read the story? He did ‘demand’ stockings, he wrote to his penpals with a list of requests including stockings.

As other posters have said, there have already been sex offenders put in women’s jails with predictable results. Huntley had a long history of violence and sex assaults against females up to and including murder. If he murders a female inmate she won’t get a second chance and ‘sorry’ won’t cut it.

As for the Daily Mail, increasingly I find they are a bastion against the likes of you who would like to censor anything which doesn’t chime with a left wing PC mindset.

Exactly. I'll never understand how people don't realise the extreme and depraved lengths some people will go to to mess with other people.

And when you've got an issue like this with people petrified to question it, it's a fucking dream for these men.

Am i missing the point here, but someone with a penis cannot, by any stretch of the imagination be a woman. It winds me up so much just thinking about it. That the authorities pander to such madness tells me that the whole world has gone fucking mad.The fact that female prisons are allowing males in purely because they say they want to identify as women makes a laughing stock of the whole justice system. It’s beyond shocking.

I didn’t grow up in Soham, but nearby. I went to SVC.

My family knew the girls and their families. They helped in the searches for the girls, and sickeningly knew Huntley and were with him before he was arrested.

The heartbreak, confusion and dismay rocked the local community. He took the lives of the girls and their families. His life should be one of bare existence, he should be allowed to rot very slowly in the corner. Vile, vile creature.

Lots of people seem to be offering to help with, or hoping for complications with the op. What op? There’s no necessity for any medical intervention for Huntley’s lady-essence to be recognised in law or in practice. No need even for women’s clothing.

Anne Ruzylo speaks very eloquently on how male prisoners behave and dress once they have access to the women’s estate. It makes you really see how easily the concept of transwoman is abused by men. Which makes you question what trans means at all. Especially with Stonewall saying that everyone’s gender essence is truthful and more important than sex.
