PositiveVibez · 01/12/2018 05:24

Yabu. Why is it inappropriate?

Tinypause · 01/12/2018 05:25

Why is it inappropriate?

Mokepon · 01/12/2018 05:25

Well, it's not the best example to set if want your child to have a healthy relationship with alcohol but if they are both adults it's no one's business but theirs.

Flamingoose · 01/12/2018 05:26

Seems fine to me. I've often had far too many glasses with my parents.

Why is it inappropriate?

BobbyBanana · 01/12/2018 05:28

My goodness. I often enjoy an evening G&T with my DD. In fact it's her turn to buy the posh tonic, thanks for the reminder.
She's well over the age she needs to be to buy alcohol.

Should I rein in my unreasonable behaviour?

Butteredghost · 01/12/2018 05:31

Why would it be? Are you only allowed to have a drink with people not related to you?

NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound · 01/12/2018 05:34

I get drunk with/around my parents and siblings. There's nothing wrong with it, we're all adults.

Jengnr · 01/12/2018 05:36

Does this apply to MILs too? Because I’m planning on getting tanked with mine tonight...

SnugglySnerd · 01/12/2018 05:37

Out of interest dh has been getting drunk at the football with his dad many a weekend for 20 years. Would that both you too?

Monty27 · 01/12/2018 05:37

My saffie dd wouldn't be seen dead drinking with me Grin

Sexnotgender · 01/12/2018 05:41

What exactly do you have an issue with?

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 01/12/2018 05:43

I take my parents to Oktoberfest every year. We do not leave sober. Grin 🍺 🍺 🍺

Don’t clutch your pearls too hard OP, they might snap.

TurquoiseWeekend · 01/12/2018 05:43

I've been to a good few bars and clubs with my mum and had great nights out! Not to mention Christmasses and other family events! What's wrong with it?

drednkva · 01/12/2018 05:43

I don't mean have a drink. I mean get passed. It seemed a bit inappropriate to actually plan to get drunk with your child.

Oh FFS.

OutComeTheWolves · 01/12/2018 05:48

If the kid was 9 or 10 then yes it would be hugely inappropriate. But I can't get worked up a about an adult child at all tbh.

alste · 01/12/2018 06:25

I love going out getting pissed with my dd and her mates reliving my youth.
I'm going out with Dh tonight dss will join us later on and we will get pissed with him.
Dss is 21 Dd is 18 Dd2 is 4 so it's nice to go out with the older kids get drunk have fun why Dd2 is having a lovely time sleeping over, being spoiled with grandparents. 😁

Innocentconglomeration · 01/12/2018 06:26

I don’t really drink but I don’t see a problem with this.

PurpleFlower1983 · 01/12/2018 06:27

YABU! I have so many fond memories getting merry with my mum and dad!

Innocentconglomeration · 01/12/2018 06:28
