The whole active thread list is always taken up by tons of trans bashing threads. How is it acceptable? Anything relating to anyone transgender is bashed. If this was against another minority of people, race, sexuality, religion it would be taken down and reported as hate crime. I don’t understand how the feminism board makes it acceptable?

Weetabix, that is a good question to ask. I think most of the most passionate voices from any of the positions are coming at it from an existential point of view. The transactivist line is that the GC position 'Denies their existence' etc, and GC women see the coercive use of language as erasure too. I'm coming at it as a parent who deals with threats to my family, and I also have a huge issue with the idea that lesbians aren't allowed to be lesbians for reasins I won't go into.

Obviously not "hate crime" because it is not against the law to say that transwomen are men - biological fact -

and it is not against the law to say we wish to retain single sex spaces.

Personally, I use preferred pronouns
and I think the old "honour system" for single sex spaces worked well for transwomen with a dysmorphic disorder

A transwoman like wrexhamtrans just wants to quietly get on with her life, rather than taking pleasure from breaking boundaries and beating feminists

I hope that the aggressive TRA movement and their push for self-ID dies out, so we can return to the old system of quiet mutual respect & tolerance.
