And invite you to join me?
What are you brilliant at, nothing is too trivial.
What can you do exceptionally well?

I make very good gravy! Don't know why because my cooking isn't good but my gravy and sauces always come out well Confused

People seem to be desperate to be my friend. Maybe I give off a vibe or something but in every workplace I've ever been in, there's always a group of people who seem drawn to me. It's weird. I'm pretty anti-social too, so it is a bit odd.

BloomsButtons · 18/11/2018 15:52

Neverplay we know each other from a Guiding forum Wink.

I'm very good at getting groups of strangers to socialise.

Nodancingshoes · 18/11/2018 16:20

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 18/11/2018 16:27

I was also a great nurse and have amazing empathy, so much so that could feel how the patient felt...or anyone really

Nevth · 18/11/2018 16:37

@exwifebeginsat40 you better be in London because we need you! I have an exceptional quiz team but every week it's the music round that's our worst. It's a very difficult quiz (even advertised as such!) and once we got full marks - except on the music round where we got 2/12 Blush. Which meant that we lost.

Limensoda · 18/11/2018 16:46

I can stand on one leg for ages.
I make excellent mashed potato.
I am really good at drawing (but not painting)

AlexaC · 18/11/2018 16:48

I make the most amazing peanut butter and chocolate sweets.

I am another one with all sorts of random knowledge only useful in pub quizzes in my head
I am also an excellent procrastinator- evidenced by the fact that I am on here, not writing my assignment.

Greyeye · 18/11/2018 16:51

I can write and paint.

Bubblysqueak · 18/11/2018 16:52

They are always massive and extra fluffy!

stevie69 · 18/11/2018 16:55

I'm not exceptionally good at anything but ..... I'm acceptable at everything that's fundamental to my life, which makes for an amazingly happy life Smile

GrandmaOHara · 18/11/2018 16:56

I used to be really good at guessing who was calling. Then they brought in caller display and ruined my one super power.

Oh - and nearly all perfumes smell really nice on me. Friends will ask what I am wearing and then be disgruntled when it doesn’t as smell nice on them.

Invisibility; laser eyes; telekinesis; flying; teleporting...... no not for me, I’ll take secret phone and mad perfume skills, thank you Hmm

InMySpareTime · 18/11/2018 16:57

I'm excellent at making babies sleep. I only have to hold them (or in some cases look at them sleepily) and they drop off to sleep for ages. Sadly this skill only works while I'm holding them, once I give the babies back they wake up. It's a niche skill, but useful!
I'm a mine of random information, and know loads about science, botany, psychology, history, politics, linguistics, etymology, mathematics etc (but not sport, I just can't care enough about it to remember it).
I can tell thousands of songs from their intros.
I can tell you which of my thousands of books contains a certain quote or piece of information, and where it is shelved.
I know which trees within 2 miles of home are good for foraging at any given time, again a bit of a niche skill.

Jeezoh · 18/11/2018 16:57

I make the best roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.

ninja · 18/11/2018 16:58

I love these especially as I'm so rubbish at some of them.

I can't think of mine but I'm pretty good all round - however, having read that someone else thinks they make the best scrambled egg, I have to say I have some references from people who might disagree with you.

Mightybanhammer · 18/11/2018 17:01

I can transform jargon into crisp and clear copy.
I make great stock and brilliant roast potatoes.

Keeping a cool head in a crisis.

And I don't know if this counts, because it's not something I do as such, but people find it very easy to confide in me and often disclose really personal stuff.

I feel a failure all the time but I hide it really well. These good qualities feel like a lie, but I need to know I'm not failing at everything.

Dogdogcat · 18/11/2018 18:29

What a brilliant thread! Thank you OP, I'm really enjoying it. I seem to have an innate sense of direction and I'm very good at finding my way around. I am also pretty intuitive about people and my first impressions are usually spot on.
