What are you brilliant at, nothing is too trivial.
What can you do exceptionally well?

I make very good gravy! Don't know why because my cooking isn't good but my gravy and sauces always come out well Confused

I get asked to do all the difficult ones because I get them down first time.

RangeRider · 18/11/2018 09:17

They are hand drawn and then vectorised x

Neverplayleapfrogwithaunicorn · 18/11/2018 09:21

And I’m bloody good at knowing RPDR trivia and all the queens.

winterhappiness · 18/11/2018 09:26

I can control my dreams.

I know this isn't unique, but not everyone can do it. My husband can't do it, and he always makes me feel special when he says how cool it is, and how he's jealous 😊

I think I developed it as a child, after having recurrent nightmares. I taught myself a coping mechanisms, and it stuck with me through to adulthood, and now i can pick and choose dreams, or change any dream , at any time throughout it.

Vitalogy · 18/11/2018 09:29

I'm quite good at remembering actors/actresses names. Terrible at remembering peoples names in RL though. My mum could do the same.

Duvetday123 · 18/11/2018 09:29

I'm a really good washer-up – I'm actually better than the dishwasher. I take great pride in this.
I also make the best roasties.

itssquidstella · 18/11/2018 09:31

I make superb roast potatoes.

Vitalogy · 18/11/2018 09:31

That is a great skill winterhappiness

Unescorted · 18/11/2018 09:38

I can read upside down, back to front and mirror image as quickly as I do normal way up. It is handy in interviews and deal negotiations.

A significant number of my friends use me as their emergency contact when they are doing their adventures... Because they feel I am best suited for doing tricky kidnap negotiations, sorting out repatriation if they are incapacitated and getting the plumber in if the boiler is leaking into the flat below while they are away for 3 months. I do not know what they base this on.... thankfully not direct experience.

HairySpice · 18/11/2018 09:40

I have a way about me that makes new people really overshare very personal information within a very short time of meeting me - around two hours. They tell me all sorts of things and their vulnerabilities.

I don't know why! I never ask! They just do.

It shocks my friends and DH.

Is that something to boast about? Not sure actually, now I have written it Confused

I am very funny and always make people laugh but only when I don't try Grin

LadyPasserine · 18/11/2018 09:42

I reckon I can spot a liar instantly.

FingerPrintTree · 18/11/2018 09:45

I'm pretty damn good at directions/have a good sense of direction. I also remember dates well, specific ones and random ones.

Amyerda · 18/11/2018 09:46

Please can all the roasties posters share their secrets? Very jealous of all these boasts....esp the dream one...Still racking my brain for oneHmm

I loved this!

I seem to have an innate ability to spell (wish I'd been able to compete in spelling bees as a child as they do in the USA) and (an almost redundant skill nowadays, as everyone and his dog can use a computer) am a very fast and accurate touch-typist.

Also (very random!) have a facility for remembering long comic poems and monologues without really trying. Quite useless though!

Marmie4 · 18/11/2018 09:49

I can copy handwriting of anyone to perfection (maybe I shouldn't be admitting this!) Don't really have to practice it can just copy very accurately. Pulled some very funny pranks through the years with this skill!

LoniceraJaponica · 18/11/2018 09:50

Procrastinating Grin
I make a light and moist sponge cake
I am a pretty competent cook
I can talk to people/organisations in a non confrontational and assertive way to get results

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 18/11/2018 09:53

I've been in some hairy situations and work with some particularly challenging children and I just never get flustered or panic. No idea where it's come from, I just process situations rationally and make a list in my head of what I can do to resolve them. I can feel my mind going "do x, then y, then move z" and it feels as though it's going slowly but according to colleagues it's lightning quick when I respond, but always the best choice.

Thewheelsarefallingoff · 18/11/2018 09:54

Winterhappiness I have the same skill for the same reason and I am trying to teach my DC to do the same Smile

nonevernotever · 18/11/2018 09:56

This is a brilliant thread! I didn't even know it was possible for anyone to control dreams. I am so envious.

I'm the google queen - if someone asks a random Friday-afternoonish question at work I am so on it.

Xenia · 18/11/2018 10:01

Absolute/perfect pitch. It is a genetic quirk and makes it very hard to transpose when singing so not necessarily a good thing even for musicians. It did make grade 8 aural tests easy as the question what key has this piece modulated into and you don't need to listen to it - just to hear the final chord!

So I can tell you the key of a piece of music or what a note is. E sounds totally different from E flat for example. One of my siblings and my mother had it too.

Alfie190 · 18/11/2018 10:01

I make the best scrambled eggs.

Justaposition · 18/11/2018 10:04

I'm really good at reading people. That's all I do.

PiperPublickOccurrences · 18/11/2018 10:05

I'm great at knitting. I am also known in my house as Queen of the Apostrophe.
