And invite you to join me?
What are you brilliant at, nothing is too trivial.
What can you do exceptionally well?

I make very good gravy! Don't know why because my cooking isn't good but my gravy and sauces always come out well Confused

I'm good at reading upside down, washing up, remembering really random trivia/details about people, have really good turn of phrase & of course excellent at spending money!

MawkishTwaddle · 18/11/2018 18:50

I just made a chicken pie that could make grown women weep. In a good way.

Awyeah · 18/11/2018 18:52

I know exactly when to stop during a round of applause.

coffeeagogo · 18/11/2018 19:19

I can develop a fully formed project plan and business case from a badly spelled 3 line WhatsApp - have made a career out of this gift

MissConductUS · 18/11/2018 19:22

I'm really good at tech - sorting the wifi, home networking, setting up new gadgets etc.

DH is better than I am, but it's not a fair comparison as he does it for a living.

freddiemercury · 18/11/2018 19:35

I run a really good bath... perfect amount if bubbles and temperature every time....

MsTSwift · 18/11/2018 19:49

I win raffles.

Umbongointhejungle · 18/11/2018 19:57

I’m quick witted I think! Well I can make people laugh a lot off the cuff. I can beef to perfection.
Great thread!

Umbongointhejungle · 18/11/2018 19:57

Cook beef even!

FlippinNora1 · 18/11/2018 19:59

I’ve a very keen sense of smell.

The downside is an apple core left in a coat pocket makes the house stink of rotting fruit for days. DH never smells it!

I grow idenitikit children. My womb bypasses my dhs genes entirely. Me and my kids are like 3 peas in a pod Smile

Snappedandfarted1 · 18/11/2018 20:13

I’m good at understanding feelings. I had therapy a few times previously, and my therapist continuously told me that I’m very emotionally intelligent and have a way of understanding how people feel from many angles.

Not really a skill I can boast about but makes me feel warm and fuzzy to know that I can empathise well with my fellow man!

LadyofMisrule · 18/11/2018 20:28

Two things. (1) Scything through superfluous detail to create logical arguments for projects I work on. (2) Yorkshire puddings.

Ariela · 18/11/2018 20:46

I can remember an exact shade of colour. So when out with a friend she might say 'Oh I like that cushion it'll match the pink in your curtains' and I'll say 'no it won't it's too light/too dark, I need this one instead which is the exact shade'

Or I can spot something that's the exact same shade, months apart. I did this for a friend's dress they last wore in my company two months ago and picked a necklace for her birthday that is exactly the right colour.

Or I can go to a shop having forgotten to take a swatch of fabric to match the thread, and buy the right one . I always used to amaze a lady in a fabric shop (now closed), I used to pop the fabric on the cutting table and ask for however many metres I needed, turn my back and rummage the threads and pick out the exact right one without having to look at the fabric, she could never work out how I could do it!

Rascalls3 · 18/11/2018 21:04

I am pretty good at front crawl AND can tumble turn 🏊🏻‍♀️ Not bad for an overweight 55 year old!

AsleepAllDay · 18/11/2018 21:07

I have good hearing (often the only person at home to hear a doorbell!) and am good in a proper crisis, I can keep my head enough to do what needs to be done while others are wringing their hands

Nutkins24 · 18/11/2018 21:11

I have an incredibly good eye. I can put up perfectly straight shelves without a spirit level.

sparklefarts · 18/11/2018 21:12

I'm fucking amazing at eating. And I mean really amazing

InspectorIkmen · 18/11/2018 21:16

I’m very good at learning languages but hopeless at finding my way round a city.
I make excellent chocolates and sweets and generally cook very well.
I can lie my way out of any situation - never yet failed!

Bangwhistlepop2 · 18/11/2018 21:29

Perceptive and good at reading people.
Chocolate brownies
Lateral thinker

Jenala · 18/11/2018 21:35

I make people feel at ease quickly which is really useful in my job (social worker). I didn't realise I did this until I after I qualified and saw how some of my colleagues seem to do the opposite and rub people up the wrong way (even thought they're being perfectly nice). Clients often say how much better I've made them feel even when I've sorted literally nothing for them yet.

I'm really good at drawing but I find that terrifyingly big headed to admit. There's loads of room for me to be better the more I do it but DH has always said I have raw basic talent and it's only now 11 years later I'm starting to sometimes consider he might have a point.

I make really great meals off the cuff in very little time.

sameshitnewday999 · 18/11/2018 21:37

Im a brilliant mum. That's about it

StarfishSandwich · 18/11/2018 21:37

I’m remarkably fit for a lady with a small baby and I’m pretty good at running. I’m not especially fast at the moment (or ever - I’m ok for an amateur but am still low level club standard at best) but I had a baby 10 weeks ago and I’m managing to run a few times per week (plus other training!) and slowly working myself back towards my parkrun PB. 4 weeks ago I ran a 34 minute 5km and yesterday I ran a 28 minute 5km.

TimeWoundsAllHeals · 18/11/2018 21:42

I’m great at self deprecation.

Honestly I feel pretty dejected about myself and my “skills” or lack thereof.

I’ve always been too flitty and uncommitted to focus on any one thing. Very much a jack of all trades master of none (except not all trades, generally speaking if it involves fine motor skills you can count me out).

Scientistic · 18/11/2018 21:48
