And invite you to join me?
What are you brilliant at, nothing is too trivial.
What can you do exceptionally well?

I make very good gravy! Don't know why because my cooking isn't good but my gravy and sauces always come out well Confused

I used to be able to run quite quickly - 18 minute 5K at the age of 39.

Nowadays my main skill is to be able to put on weight just by looking at food.....

Some brilliant skills here. I'm an unbelievably fast (but thorough) reader, I can find anything on Google (doesn't sound like a skill but some people are just incapable of knowing what to ask to get their answer and apparently I think like a search engine/am very good at recognising which links might be relevant from the preview!), and I'm very good at diffusing social awkwardness/putting people at ease. All of which is very handy for my job.

I am a world class sleeper: I fall asleep in minutes and it takes a LOT to wake me up (in terms of noise/emotional turmoil!) I increasingly realise how valuable this is!
I am a confident and capable public speaker - have always enjoyed it and am good at looking relaxed in front of hundreds of people
I am excellent at removing splinters
I'm a very good party planner & host - especially for children's parties.

I have perfect blood pressure. Just as well really as I'm at the damn hospital every month having it taken!

I’m a really shit hot judge of character, can spot a wrong un from the other end of the street ! It’s been really useful. I can also tell if people are lying, this pisses my kids off no end.

My ( only?) other talent is dancing, I love it, and always get complements on my moves.

MistressoftheYoniverse · 21/11/2018 17:05

Another dream controller here!

I can also feel electrical presences, I can tell if a television has been on without touching it, or if a person is/was in the house without seeing them, when I was pregnant it was terrible when my next door neighbour would put on his satellite t.v I had to go to a different part of my flat!! Confused

Bloomini · 21/11/2018 17:06

I'm brilliant at remembering birthdays. Even those of people I went to school with many moons ago! Smile

applealpaca I’m exactly the same, fantastic at interviews, I’ve always got the job and often it’s been a job at a much higher level, now doing the job meh

Laundry! I know that’s a basic thing that everyone can do, but I love it and I am actually better than anyone I know. (It feels so big headed writing that down - Sorry 😬). I have never had a stain that’s beat me. I never have colour runs or fading, my whites are ultra white, and people have commented to me and my kids separately about how amazing our clothes smell, and I had a neighbour at the back of me come round and introduce herself and ask what washing powder I use as my whites were so white. (Not a Daz advert, embarrassingly this really did happen)
Ironing however is a different story...😳 I am totally crap at that.

Sounds a weird one, but I was ace at my job, not only would I be given the most difficult groups to train plus head office and the board (apparently because I could answer any question and always remain calm). But I had a way of people opening up to me straight away. So I would have mangers say I have problems with x y z, and within a few hours they would reveal during breaks etc what was going on in their home lives. So I would encourage them to opening up to the line managers etc, but then when I spoke with their managers I would just say basically give them a break right now, don’t give them extra shifts, don’t switch their shifts at extra notice, so trying to support the employee without ever revealing what was going on. Unless it was a case for example where someone was pregnant, then I would actively encourage and at times go in with the employee to tell their manager (it could be very risky for a pregnant women in the environemnt).
But yes my mangers and other trainers used to find it strange how I could work with different groups with so much ease. I personally put it down to the fact that a) I loved my job b) I don’t stop talking myself lol

I’m really good at pouring liquid from one glass to another without spilling it. Feel quite smug every time I do. 😂

Youngandfree · 14/01/2019 00:55

I am really good at removing splinters and anything stuck in a persons eye (eyelashes, tiny flies etc) and I’m not a nurse etc 😂

My best friend can always find the most amazing stuff in charity shops. Ridiculous things like never worn Levi’s for £2.50, leather trousers for a fiver. Last year she found not one, but two copies of a dress we had lusted after a couple of years previously and never managed to track down in our size. She found one in her size, one in mine, 50p each.

Still, my gift wrapping is exquisite and she has to pay her eldest to wrap hers....I think she got the better skill if I’m honest 😭
