Brexit -have you changed your mind??

I know Brexit has been done to death and I'm not asking for anyone's justification for wanting out or in.

I'm just really curious to know if any of the folks who voted leave have changed their minds (as is sometimes reported by the Guardian).

Still remain. Think we're heading for no deal for the sake of Teresa Mays pride. It's all going to go to shit isn't it? Sad

arethereanyleftatall · 13/11/2018 16:50

I voted leave. I'd still vote leave. It was a tentative pencil cross on leave in the first one, now it'd be a big fat cross in pen.

Leapfrog44 · 13/11/2018 16:51

@MasonJar exactly.. that's why I'm conducting this unscientific experiment.

SchrodingersBox · 13/11/2018 16:51

I voted remain and would now vote leave.

Poloshot · 13/11/2018 16:52

No. Let's get the fuck out ASAP

KidLorneRoll · 13/11/2018 16:52

No.

Anyone who voted leave was wrong then, and is still wrong now. Any idiot could have predicted the absolute shitshow we have now.

ModreB · 13/11/2018 16:54

No. I've been Stay, and as a mother with an adult child in the Army with the longest period of peace in the UK ever, I wan't that to continue for as long as possible. Suprisingly, in my 20's in the 70's, I was a Leave, but as I actually grew up I changed minds as I had the correct information.

I have other DC's that I would encourage to move to Canada or Australia to escape the following shitstorm. And I do believe a shitstorm will happen.

frogface69 · 13/11/2018 16:54

Cabinet are meeting tomorrow. A deal has been agreed. According to lbc radio

IamtheDevilsAvocado · 13/11/2018 16:55

I'm still waiting for leavers' reasons... Other than the immigrants taking our jobs narratives?....

Remaner .. And I'm even more in that camp 2 years down the line

MakeAHouseAHome · 13/11/2018 16:57

Voted leave. Would do so again. Feel evern nore strongly about leaving now if that is even possible!

Quietrebel · 13/11/2018 16:58

lack of unity and typified for me, how the EU is at times bloated and somewhat of a toothless tiger
The sensible thing to do then is to become a force for unity from the inside, and as a team player, not constantly be out for a better deal as was the UK under Cameron. It didnt work to the satisfaction of the more right-wing elements in the party, then he had a strop, threatened a referendum and here we are.
You want to make the EU into what it should be? Make it more transparent? Best way is to stay and finally engage with it not quit. Brits aren't quitters.

ilovesooty · 13/11/2018 17:00

I think I'm quite reasonable to hate Cameron after what he's done. I hope the pp who misunderstood what I said understood the referendum better.

mydogisthebest · 13/11/2018 17:00

I voted leave and would again. DH the same. Amongst my friends and family most voted leave. I only know 1 person who said they would change their vote. They voted remain but would now vote leave

MrsJane · 13/11/2018 17:01

After a lot of research, I voted remain but if I could vote again, I'd vote leave.

Leapfrog44 · 13/11/2018 17:02

@mrssunshinexxx I guess I was never going to get the simple answer I was after. People feel so passionately on both sides. My unscientific analysis is that there are a few mind-changers but probably not 1/5!

@frogface69

Well spotted. I'm tuning into LBC right now, but no details seem to be available.

Night of the long knives maybe.

Even though I have no time for Theresa May, she is certainly resilient.

taratill · 13/11/2018 17:03

Deal has now been agreed in principle according to headline on radio 4.

A second referendum could be a nightmare, I'm an ardent remainer but I think that positions are too entrenched to undo this mess. I too will never forgive Cameron for this.

Leapfrog44 · 13/11/2018 17:03

@MrsJane - really?? what changed your mind?

OP posts:
AnotherOneBitesTheDust · 13/11/2018 17:03

Voted leave and I would vote this 100 times over

Kemer2018 · 13/11/2018 17:03

No. Still want out

OracleofDelphi · 13/11/2018 17:09

Quietrebel - I strongly and respectfully disagree. Becuase of our stance on Schengen and single currency we have been on the outside of the inner circle of the EU for a while. For my other 2 x reasons given on earlier pages., further invovlement in an organisation that is under dispute as to its validity of its audits and its nned to increase membership from countries that are net beneficiaries means I will not support being inside such a union. It took me along time to come to my decision ans if you read what I wrote up thread I have considered our membership based purely on the financial viability of the union going forward. Not on knee jerk reactions.

Hemlock2013 · 13/11/2018 17:10

I’m a bit warm and fuzzy over how civilised this is, 5 pages so far and there isn’t the tension there normally is on a brexit discussion.

Is this because oracle posted such a clear argument?

I’m all over the show with brexit. I was a fierce remainer and hater of Teresa, but seeing her treated so appallingly by twats in Brussels has made me feel sorry for her and angry at the eu. Not at all a well reasoned view but just how I feel.

ReflectionsofParadise · 13/11/2018 17:11

Voted Leave. Would still vote Leave.
