AIBU to wonder if Prince William shaves his own face?

Not really an AIBU but I've often wondered about the Royal family in general and if they've got someone to do literally everything for them! For example Prince William always looks like he's had a professional shave, very smooth, never a little razor cut to be seen and looks like he uses moisturiser too. I know for special public events he probably has his own barber etc but surely on a 'normal' morning such as bringing the kids to school would he do his own shaving and Kate maybe put her hair in a ponytail and make breakfast for the kids or is all the cooking always done for them? I like the Royals btw so just curious!!

He's spoken about her cooking not being great before so they did try to do things for themselves, whether they still do is anyone's guess. I think I read somewhere she dies a lot of the childcare herself, or did at least with George in the beginning. You could see the tiredness on her face in the beginning so it looks like she did. They probably had a wet nurse though so who knows.

*does

TattiusTeddius · 11/11/2018 17:29

I think this generation of royals are pretty grounded all things considered, but I imagine when he gets a hair cut he gets a shave too

Almostfifty · 11/11/2018 17:31

A wet nurse??

I very much doubt anyone would breastfeed another baby these days...

ICanTuckMyBoobsInMyPockets · 11/11/2018 17:32

I very much doubt they had a wet nurse ffs

Flower777 · 11/11/2018 17:33

I’d love to know stuff like this too!

chemenger · 11/11/2018 17:34

I googled to make sure I knew what a wet nurse is, I don’t believe the Royals have wet nurses.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 11/11/2018 17:34

I’ve seen her driving the school run (sat in traffic Grin ) so I like to believe they do a fair bit themselves. While they can anyway, most people outsource things if they have a full day at work ahead.

Goldmandra · 11/11/2018 17:34

They probably had a wet nurse though so who knows

A nanny and possibly a night nanny but not a wet nurse.

rosy71 · 11/11/2018 17:35

Wasn't he pictured taking George to school the day after Louis was born? He was unshaven and very tired looking so must have been up in the night.

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 11/11/2018 17:38

I think he's probably grounded enough to shave his own face. Surely it would be mortifying to not be able to shave your own face each day before work?

I also loved that photo of Kate squatting down pointing with her cross face on, clearly reading someone the riot act because DS1 saw it and declared "look she has the same angry eyes as you!"

Omgineedanamechange · 11/11/2018 17:39

😂 at them probably having a wet nurse.

GummyGoddess · 11/11/2018 17:40

There are still people who will nurse someone else's baby. Wife of husbands colleague is a doula and it is one of the things she can do. It's a bit odd to do it as a job but I can imagine doing it for a friend or expressing for them.

My theory about his shaving is that he doesn't seem to have course hair so it might be easier to have a shave look good and for longer.

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 11/11/2018 17:40

Wet nurses are still used and have increased in popularity in recent years

I am sure they have round the clock childcare plus other staff but not sure a wet nurse

Girlundercover · 11/11/2018 17:41

I’m sure he squeezes his own toothpaste unlike his dad

AamdC · 11/11/2018 17:43

Well how do you know he always looks like he looks like he has a professional shave ?when he atends professional events he peobably does , bur maybe on his day off maybe he has bits of loo roll on his shaving cuts and cant find a razor that isnt blunt?

IHaveBrilloHair · 11/11/2018 17:44

A wet nurse, ffs unlikely.
I know a perfectly ordinary family who have had a Nanny for 8 years, and had a night Nanny for a short period of time with their youngest.
Why not?

PollyFlinderz · 11/11/2018 17:47

I’m sure he squeezes his own toothpaste unlike his dad

I thought that had been explained. That he had help when he broken his arm.

brizzledrizzle · 11/11/2018 17:47

You really think they are going to want somebody hanging around their home ready to shave his face for him? I think that's unlikely TBH.

Caprisunorange · 11/11/2018 17:50

I hate to say it but I suspect the type of person who uses a wet nurse is probably very into breastfeeding (to a pretty extreme level) rather than just wanting convinence/ not wanting to look after their own children. Because it seems far more likely you’d have the nanny give formula. Wet nurses were from the days when breast milk kept babies alive.

Caprisunorange · 11/11/2018 17:50

I bet he has a barber come to his house, and they probably wet shave him at the same time. Not daily though. No different to Kate having a hairdresser or make up artist is it?

HollowTalk · 11/11/2018 17:53

There is no way they would have had a wet nurse!

SugarandSpice100 · 11/11/2018 17:54

@AamdC lol about the loo roll and blunt razor!! Also, what about their bodyguards? Do any of them actually live in the house with them or maybe they just loiter outside the door on a shift basis or do they not have any privacy even to have a good old argument or gossip?!

IAmNotLikeThem · 11/11/2018 17:55

Gillette, ffs. It's not rocket science.

Caprisunorange · 11/11/2018 17:55

Yes I remember PW saying in an interview once they had a take away and the interviewer laughed about him calling it up and the deliveroo driver arriving- PW looked a bit confused and said he has people who collect things like that
