In your school? That happened to come out as the truth, or a lie?.
Just finished reading a really good thread on it and would love to hear more.
When I was in school the rumour was the classic someone put a mars bar somewhere it shouldn't... and that a teacher was having an affair with a pupil. (Wasn't true). Oh we also had the pe teacher apparently having an affair with the English teacher. That was true!.

Ha Living perhaps you were the one gave all the bouncers the clap ^thread.

Just remembered a girl called 'candle' for apparently losing her cherry to one

Sheldonoscopy · 27/10/2018 17:03

So outing!!

Music teacher had a thing about Britney Spears (pics up in the room to prove it) Rumour was that he’d stand behind the piano with a stiffy and have a wank when he thought nobody was watching. And that he was a paedophile, what with his lusting after her in school uniform (the pic he had up)

I’ll say this, he did position his desk so that from the class door if anyone were to look in the glass door or come in, he could sort himself out. But apparently someone saw him in the glass window behind him (having a tug) and rumour went wild. He left shortly after.

Armchairanarchist · 27/10/2018 17:09

The games teacher was a complete letch and the rumour was he'd slept with several pupils. He was jailed for it around ten years after I left.

continuallychargingmyphone · 27/10/2018 17:11

Some of these are disgusting and OK, kids say stupid stuff but what’s with repeating them twenty years later? Confused

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/10/2018 17:12

that a Year 8 was found in a compromising situation with a chicken ... he was later arrested as an adult for similar offences and one that involved a tractor

Hang on ... with a TRACTOR??? Shock

How on earth do you get into a "compromising situation" with one of those?? Confused

bakebakebake · 27/10/2018 17:12

High school. A boy in our year had sex with his step brother.
9 years later a friend said it to me and she was super surprised when I told her that it was most likely to be true, as the boy had told me himself.
Unfortunately he told me after we had slept together (he was my boyfriend, I broke up with him a few days later).
I didn't spread it around school, I told my best friend and I'm guessing she did.. unless he did tell someone else.

Also high school, media studies teacher watched child porn. Was a rumour until a student went on his pc when he was out of the room and found it.

Primary school, head teacher was a alcoholic. That was true, she was fired.

My DC primary school, rumour that head teacher was having an affair with nursery teacher. Which turned out to be true, I'm friends with a TA who said someone saw them together.

ALongHardWinter · 27/10/2018 17:19

When I was in the 4th year at primary school ( now called year 6) aged 11,there was a rumour that our teacher and the teacher of the other year 6 class were having an affair. I never did find out whether or not it was true. Even to a class of 11 year olds back in 1975, their behaviour did look a bit 'suspect'. But I did realise that our (female) teacher was a terrible flirt, and I think that maybe the way she acted around this teacher was the way she would behave around any reasonably attractive bloke. The funniest part of all this was when we went on a week's school trip to France, accompanied by both these teachers. We were staying in a dormitory, one for the boys and one for the girls, with the teachers having their own rooms down at he end of the corridor. At the other end of this corridor there was a room with several shower cubicles, toilets and sinks, and the teachers as well as the pupils used these facilities. About 3 days into the stay, there were rumours flying around that Mrs. H and Mr. S had 'been seen' in the shower together. The fact that this rumour was started by one of the more 'serious' girls in our group made me think there may have been some truth in it! Grin

Huntlybyelection · 27/10/2018 17:23

Head of English was gay (true, a year or two after leaving school i was in a gay pub with a group of old school friends and we bumped into him. He was most surprised) and was having an affair with a pupil (he was indeed there with a 6th year pupil. Not convinced they were having an affair. One of my friends is certain but no proof.)

Winterfellwonderland · 27/10/2018 17:24

PJBanana did you go to a very large school in Surrey by any chance?

Celestia26 · 27/10/2018 17:24

Just remembered another....

I went to a religious primary school, and apparently the vicar of the church next door was having an affair with the school secretary. They were both married (to other people).

Turns out it was true. My mother told me a couple of years ago. Apparently it was an 'open secret' in the school.

Ioki · 27/10/2018 17:25

There was a rumour that the newly married TA we had in history class in year 7 had an affair with another TA, after months of rumours she actually stood up and told the class, 'yes, we are together' (!! Confused) and we always saw them kissing etc in school afterwards (she got pulled up for that) and they went to one another's house to sleep together (her words) - male TA was kicked out of the school once affair became common news amongst staff - but to this day she's still at the school, still married to her husband and he's none the wiser. Sad

Rumour that another (male) TA was having a gay affair with the headmaster - this was true, someone saw them years later kissing in the supermarket

Rumour that a girl fingered herself in class Confused - I was there so that's true!

Ioki · 27/10/2018 17:27

also - rumour that the IT teacher was a paedophile - this was true and he got convicted of it earlier this year Sad

PJBanana · 27/10/2018 17:29

winterfell no! Although I guess a lot of the rumours I mentioned are probably pretty common, my school just seemed to have more than most!

SpaceCannotBeLeftBlank · 27/10/2018 17:34

That our drama teacher was an al oholuc and a lesbian and and when she got pregnant, that it was artificial insemination.

All totally unfounded and likely untrue.

Why anyone would want to teach teenage kids is beyond me. Except letchy paedophiles, going by this thread.

toomuchtooold · 27/10/2018 17:35

I heard that one of my colleagues had electrocuted herself by sticking a pair of copper tongs into a socket that had a broken earth pin in it. I'm fairly sure that one was true though because it was the physics teacher that told us Confused

LadyFidgetAndHerHandbag · 27/10/2018 17:42

My secondary school was a hotbed of affairs both between teachers and teachers and pupils. I know they were true because my mum was a teacher there and confirmed them all when I left the school.
There was a rumour that an English teacher was a bit of a perv - he certainly seemed to look down the shirts of girls. A similar rumour was spread about the DT teacher, he had a particularly pleasant nickname that I won't repeat as it's outing.
When I was in year 8 I was knocked off my bike on the way to school and was off for several weeks apparently the rumour was that I'd died but nobody would admit it because I'd been hit by a teacher (neither true, obviously).

ToTheCrystalDome · 27/10/2018 17:44

We had a teacher in junior school who everyone was terrified of. She had very long, straggly grey hair and used to mutter to herself and never smiled. Everyone said she was a witch.

However there was also a rumour that she had a gun in her bag and a gun in her desk so we were all very well behaved that year.

ToTheCrystalDome · 27/10/2018 17:47

Said witchy teacher also told us

If your feet don’t touch the floor when you’re sitting down, you’ll get varicose veins. I had no idea what that meant but I was terrified as I was short and my feet didn’t touch the ground.

She also told us if you stick a needle in your arm (as in all the way in), it will travel around your body and come out of your other arm. It apparently happened to someone she knew. WTAF?!

NymanPerkins · 27/10/2018 17:47

My children’s first primary school. Between us going and meeting the headteacher and the children starting he’d been caught after hours having sex with the cleaner in his office. At my primary the headmaster committed suicide in his office (true), and used to haunt the corridors and carry off naughty pupils who’d been sent out of the classroom (probably not true).

DuckofDoom · 27/10/2018 17:48

I used to be a teacher. The affair rumours were probably all true- the schools I worked in were rife with affairs between staff!

Vampiratequeen · 27/10/2018 17:49

The art teacher and the English teacher supposedly had an affair, the art teachers wife, who was the food tech teacher walked in on them, don't k ow if it is true but they all left out of the blue at the same time.

The new food tech teacher and the electronics teachers were an item, turned out to be true, got married and had kids together.

That one of the teachers was a paedophile and would watch the boys getting changed through a hole in the wall.

There are a couple of other, but they would be very outing.

Shriekingbanshee · 27/10/2018 17:53

....

BrendasUmbrella · 27/10/2018 18:02

That our head teacher was having an affair with our fairly newly arrived class teacher. We found out it was true after she announced her pregnancy.

NotSoThinLizzy · 27/10/2018 18:11

There was once a rumour about a boy and a mango. He was called it for 4 years after that. Wasn't true

Someone brought in a dildo and put it in the teachers desk 😂 never knew who did it

scarfpeacock00 · 27/10/2018 18:22

while at school there was a rumour our very fit english teacher slept with the 5th years and had got one pregnant years ago (age 15/16). Fast forward to our 5ft year London theatre trip and he tried it on with me and my friend in the hotel bar. He was, years later, caught sending lewd messages with students and lost his job (and it was covered in all newspapers) for sleeping with students at a german military school he was working at.

other rumours: standard "frozen sausage girl" rumour in the year above us and history teacher had a flask of whiskey in his cupboard rumour. Also our deputy head got reprimanded and went off sick then retired early while under investigation for his constant sexual comments to the girls about our skirts and calling us slags regularly!
