Online as well - on a global platform! This guy is surely discrediting the medical profession as well as the NHS, and god knows how his female patients would feel if they knew. He doesn't hide the fact that he works for the NHS and has 'Dr' in his twitter name.

He is a doctor. Doctors train for many years after qualification. Anyone that isn't a consultant, a staff grade or a GP is technically still a trainee. They're all doctors and many have extensive experience too.

Doesn't stop them being an ignorant misogynist though!

if anyone here has watched even 1 episode of RuPaul's drag race you will see the queens referring to each other as 'fishy' when they are all dolled up like women.
tbh I think the term started its life as being related to the smell, but no longer does in the wider community, the tweet posted above doesn't refer to smell at all? and I'm pretty sure the dr is saying people call him dr haddock bc he is gay and has feminine features

It's weird that there's this general acceptance that women's genitalia "smell like fish" given that men's and women's genitalia smell pretty similar. I don't know why I'm still surprised by this kind of double standard...

Is puzzling anyway- if they believe trans women are women, why don’t Amy and Jane see this as directed at them? Or do they believe they aren’t the same as “other” women after all??

Fish is a vile way to refer to women and Dr Harrop knew exactly what he was referring to when he responded to this. His dislike of women is no longer thinly veiled its pretty clear.

I'm not surprised tbh. My sister is a junior doctor, she says many of them are a bit misogynist (assuming she's not the R2 on call) or strange.
