Online as well - on a global platform! This guy is surely discrediting the medical profession as well as the NHS, and god knows how his female patients would feel if they knew. He doesn't hide the fact that he works for the NHS and has 'Dr' in his twitter name.

This guy really shouldn't be employed by the NHS at this point. How are women supposed to have any confidence in him?

I can remember how awful it was when boys at school would make comments like this, really feel for any of his patients.

Yes GMC, his employers and any CCG who contracts with any organisation who employs him should be taking action.

He is joining in with some people laughing about some women, making fish jokes, then says 'they can all go themselves' (the women they're joking about).

The BMA is essentially a trade union for doctors so you WBU to report him to them, they're unlikely to be interested.
YANBU to report him to the GMC, who are the ones who actually have power over him.

He's bringing his profession into disrepute. His employer should be bringing this to a disciplinary hearing and referring him for fitness to practice proceedings. As a woman working in the nhs I am ashamed of a colleague who behaves in such a disgusting way.

Thanks for your advice and interest. Yes there is a screenshot. I don't want to share it on here because I don't want to be inflammatory without knowing all the details. If he wasn't so upfront about being an NHS doctor on his twitter page thing I wouldn't be so disturbed I don't think.

I suppose it helps if more women know this sort of thing goes on.
