That a male just won a women’s cycling World Championship?

Can’t really get my mind round this tbh though i was aware of another male Laurel Hubbard taking medals in the Women’s Weight Lifting World Championships earlier this year. Are we really ready for males winning the Women’s Wimbledon Title and the women’s Olympic 100m Final?

I certainly grab 'overtime' whenever it's available!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 17/10/2018 07:41

Not in this day and age they're not. Overtime you'll get used to it

Even in this day and age people with a penis are male

Biology hasnt changed, over time people LEARN more (that should be some people obviously) but the facts dont change

But you know that dont you Wink

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 17/10/2018 07:42

Biology has moved on

Nope.

Transwomen are not women.

Women do not have penises.

Women are adult human females.

Oblomov18 · 17/10/2018 07:42

McKinnon said we were all "bigoted"? Really? What a knob!

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 17/10/2018 07:42

McKinnon can fuck off.

IAmAllAsttonishnent · 17/10/2018 07:43

It’s totally unfair but 100% where this was heading! In my opinion, feminism stopped simply being about equality a long time ago and a ‘we’re better than men’ subculture became pretty prominent. Which ‘real’ fememism just went along with and accepted so the whole thing just became overly PC madness!

Which in turn, the trans society jumped in on and that became the same. Until now when the two are colliding and it’s a whole different level of PC madness!

No biologically men and women are not equal and therefore a biological man should not be competing in women’s competitions...but that can be applied to so many situations! We carry children and men don’t so ‘Technically’ we’re a more financially dangerous hire for a company due to maternity leave...etc but god forbid they take that into account (don’t disagree but it’s true) so where do you draw the line.

They can’t ‘just tell them no’ anymore or ‘use their common sense’ because for the last 20 years everyone has been telling everyone else NOT to use common sense as it creates an ‘exclusive society’.

🤔 so yes on the one hand it sucks but on the other this is just another example of women doing the ‘We are equal to men and can’t be excluded from anything .... but don’t let transgender women in because that’s unfair’

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 17/10/2018 07:43

Has gas gone already

Wow MNHQ are really on the ball today! And its so early

(Waste of my post though, and obviously i meant gas knew and was on a windup...sarah knows loads!!)

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 17/10/2018 07:45

Well im certainly not going to waste another post on THAT

FermatsTheorem · 17/10/2018 08:02

Ah, there we have it, folks. The TRA-MRA pincer movement. That good old saw of "you wanted equality..."

Anyone else fancy explaining in words of one syllable? I'm still bunged up with cold.

But - bottom line, you either create a society where no accommodation is made whatsoever of human differences, thus cutting out a huge pool of human beings from full participation in politics, the workplace, etc. because they have the biological capacity to get pregnant, or are disabled, or...

Or you create a society to work round people's differences to give everyone an equal chance.

And therein lies the point. Things like maternity leave are women's rights, because only women can get pregnant. Pretty much all women's rights which are distinct from human rights come down to additional protections we need because of our biology. And tranwomen, being biologically male, do not need women's rights.

It's also interesting that the very few men's rights on the statute books, such as male primogeniture, were specifically excluded from the GRA. Kind of tells you who's writing this legislation, and in whose benefit...

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 17/10/2018 08:05

Not wasting the post fermats

Hope you feel better soon though...colds are mank

Bluntness100 · 17/10/2018 08:24

The striking thing for me is that McKinnon can't see anything wrong

I think she can. She's clearly intelligent. The issue is she's backed herself into a corner and it's very difficult for her to say " yes I'm aware I have a biological advantage". Because then everyone would ask how she thinks it's fair to compete in a race against biological women.

I suspect also part of the huge outcry here is the visuals. If she was five foot six and nine stone, the image would look very different and the outcry possibly more muted, it's the fact she's so much bigger than the others, also appearing much physically stronger, and with a physique that is seldom found on biological females that makes the biological advantage very obvious.

I think it's a difficult question for the trans community itself. The medication transwomen take will possibly leave them unable to compete against biological males, but still give them an advantage over biological females. So do they have to say ok this is something I won't do?

Whatever the answer is, it's very clear from the image that Rachel competing in that race wasn't it.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 17/10/2018 08:24

Thank you, @MNHQ. After the shitshow that was F4 and the h** sockpuppet, M1, I was starting to feel a bit cranky.

RiverTam · 17/10/2018 08:41

Bluntness yes, that's it. Either the sport is important or 'living as the opposite sex' is. Hard decisions need to be made. But trans ideology is such that you just stamp your feet hard enough, throw a tantrum, threaten this, that and the other and then do what you want and sod everyone else.

Datun · 17/10/2018 09:22

But trans ideology is such that you just stamp your feet hard enough, throw a tantrum, threaten this, that and the other and then do what you want and sod everyone else

Amply demonstrated in the guardian today.

MPs, scared to be identified in case of repercussions, secretly attended a meeting yesterday with women's groups about the upcoming change in law.

David Davies MP said
...he had been threatened with police action by another Conservative MP for holding meetings in parliament with women’s groups critical of the reforms.

An MP is consulting with women during a public consultation designed to finally promote discourse with women - and another MP wants him arrested.

Talks need to happen because:

LGBT+ Conservatives, the party’s official LGBT group, has called Davies’ comments that someone with male genitalia is “definitely not a woman” transphobic and abhorrent.

The reaction from trans pressure groups is a staggering:

Prof Stephen Whittle, the founder of trans rights group Press for Change, warned that many trans people would “become depressed and dejected” if reform was delayed. He said: “I am sure there will be a flurry of attempts and suicides.

The striking thing for me is that McKinnon can't see anything wrong. The narcissistic delusion is something to behold.

Oh no, McKinnon knows EXACTLY what he's doing. This is all about trolling women. That is the kick.

RiverTam · 17/10/2018 09:35

oh, absolutely. It's a fetish in a really repulsive way. RM must see the looks when RM joins a race, and RM will be getting a kick out of that when the others in the race realise what they're up against.

It's vile.

Onecutefox · 17/10/2018 10:11

This is not bigotry it's discrimination of women. If there will be a petition in the UK I will sign it and as much as I am for the equal rights this has gone a little bit too far.

I have 2 X chromosomes in EVERY CELL IN MY BODY.
R McKinnon has an X and a Y chromosome in EVERY SINGLE CELL.

Biology, just saying.

Onecutefox · 17/10/2018 10:45

The only way to stop it is to not take part in such unfair competitions.

RiverTam · 17/10/2018 11:07

but that really penalises women competitors, who struggle with less funding and so on as it is. Why should they have to throw away years of training because a man decides to cheat?

But we can harness our outrage by getting in touch with, for example, the sponsors of these events, or the governing bodies.

AlmaGeddon · 17/10/2018 11:07

It's too late in Canada but imv the only way to stop it is to let people live their life as any gender they choose, and the law support them in doing that, so no hate crime, discrimination etc, but when it comes down to sport and the recording of statistics (crimes and health/disease being two) we are what we were born.
It seems so sensible to me, but the emperor has new clothes nowadays.
