Following on from 'Chicken nugget-gate' on the other thread 😉 and the popularity of the "What did you eat today" thread. I have to ask...

What Did Your Toddler Eat Today?

OP posts:
Rixera · 20/10/2018 18:28

All these tiny appetites!
Cereal & banana (full bowl)
Slice of pb on toast, slice of honey on toast
Rest of banana
Nuts
Rejected 'eurghhhh' lentil & bacon soup, had bacon & sweetcorn pasta instead (too be fair soup went a bit wrong, was not delicious)
Pear (whole of)
Biscuits x3
Apple
Cheese
Dinner in a minute, chicken, rice, green beans, mandatorily separated on the plate because that is now apparently the only way food is acceptable now
Yoghurt
Cup of milk

... She's 3 inches smaller than all the children her age and still fits clothes from a year ago. Skinny as anything. Have had her growth checked at dr's, apparently she's alright and just has the metabolism of... I don't even know, a lightning bolt or something.

DS 28months

Half a slice of toast
Weetabix with chopped up strawberries and blueberries
Some cheese
Half an apple
Pasta bolognese with chopped up cherry tomatoes and cucumbers on the side
A few white chocholate buttons
A plum
A frube
fishfingers, beans and cucumbers with tomatoes again
Half a banana
Milk before bed

StarkintheSouth · 20/10/2018 18:48

A massive bowl of Cheerios and whole milk. Some bites of fig roll and a bite of apple. Cheese and toast then blueberries. Another bit of fig roll. Inexplicable meltdown meant another bowl of Cheerios. BBQ chicken and veg then another bowl of blueberries.
Dreading the nappies tomorrowConfused

Whobloodyknows · 20/10/2018 21:26

Whobloodyknows · 20/10/2018 21:38

Think I over compensate with snacks if he doesn’t eat his breakfast Halloween Blush

BridgetJonesDaiquiriofDeath · 20/10/2018 21:41

18m DD has had:

Breakfast— Weetabix and toast
Snack - 1/2 banana and babybel (which she pleaded for but then mainly smushed into the sofa)
Lunch - 2 fishfingers, croquette and veg (most of which end up smushed into the table/on floor)
Snack - cucumber and hummus
Dinner - cheesy pea pasta and a yoghurt
Milk before bed

fruityb · 20/10/2018 21:44

Bovril on toast which he has most mornings
A couple of bananas
A bag of quavers
A cheese and broccoli pasta n sauce for tea
A yoghurt
A brioche bun
A small bowl of popcorn
Some bread and butter
A bowl of grapes
A ham sandwich
A couple of rich tea fingers.

Not in that order I’ve just been trying to remember! He’s quite a grazer is my wee man but does like his tea. I’m not up for fighting and want him to eat so will tackle more veg in there later on. He loves fruit though.

fruityb · 20/10/2018 21:45

Oh and he’s two and two months 😊

RedPandaMama · 20/10/2018 21:47

My 14mo has been ill on and off the last few weeks, is now going through a growth spurt so eating EVERYTHING. Me and DP both aren't well so have been lazy parenting so don't judge the food choices and lack of fruit & veg, we haven't been able to get to the shop in a week. Today she has had:

Breakfast - one Weetabix with milk
Lunch - 2 crumpets with butter, raisins, a petit filous yogurt, a large banana
Dinner - scrambled egg, two slices of seedy brown toast with butter, sultanas, yogurt and granola
Plus about 6 McDonald's chips, a piece of chicken and a bit of tortilla wrap, plus about half my mcflurry (I'm poorly and stressed lol just grabbed whatever I could driving home)

RedPandaMama · 20/10/2018 21:48

Oh plus 8oz milk before bed!

Squeakybubbles26 · 20/10/2018 21:50

B- about 8 dry shreddies and 1/2 croissant and a small yoghurt
L- cold chicken, half bag crisps
S - asked did banana - refused as the end was slightly brown
T - chicken, chips with peas and broccoli covered in gravy - oh and one of my onion rings! Ate most of her meal!
Drank milk and water throughout day.. this is a good day ..

fruityb · 20/10/2018 22:04

I love this thread - I suddenly don’t feel bad for feeding him the same few things as I know he’ll eat them all! I also now see other people’s kids don’t like potato much - ds says “yuk” at any! Used to wolf broccoli but now won’t entertain it unless it’s hidden. He has a brill appetite and usually clears his plate but is a grazer as well.

I see we all love pasta and cheese lol! It’s interesting seeing the mentions of milk as ds stopped drinking it at about 20 months. He has never drunk it from his cup; it had to be a bottle and then he just stopped being interested. He eats tons of cheese and yoghurt and is tall, strong and energetic so I’m not worried!

bumblebee39 · 20/10/2018 22:14

Gosh me too whobloodyknows

AlphaBravo · 24/10/2018 09:24

Toast
Floor toast 🤷🏼‍♀️
Half an apple
Cup of milk

So far today! I need new snack ideas. I feel like our offerings to MiniAlpha are very repetative now

HollidayArmadillo · 24/10/2018 09:52

Love this thread!

I'll do yesterday as he's in nursery this morning so I haven't fed him anything
He's 2, very nearly 3

B (before big kids school run): cheerios, mini banana, apple juice
2nd B (upon getting home from school run): mini scotch pancake, grapes & actively type drink
L: chunky veg soup, 1 slice of bread, an apple
S: 1 cracker with cream cheese, chocolate biscuit
D: chicken casserole & green beans (2 portions) & a paw patrol yoghurt (Marshall or chase only - absolutely NOT Zuma ... poor Zuma!)
Glass of milk before bed

This is a fairly standard day, usually with a few more snacks
The boy can eat!

HollidayArmadillo · 24/10/2018 09:56

bumblebee I don't mean to be rude and with 4 DC I know they all have their fussy phases (my eldest are nothing but yoghurts for about a month once!) but can I ask why you offer your baby crisps and biscuits for breakfast?

AlphaBravo · 24/10/2018 10:23

Go away @HollidayArmadillo, please. That's not what this thread is for.

OP posts:
bumblebee39 · 24/10/2018 10:26

Well it would normally be the other way round. Crisps/snacks for a snack and muesli for breakfast and he had toast first today.

Been slacking a bit recently due to morning sickness but knew I needed to pull my socks up 😂

TabbyTigger · 24/10/2018 10:28

I’ve got a 2 (and 8 months) year old. I’ll go off yesterday -

Breakfast - refused shreddies, weetabix, toast, bagel, crumpet... with 8 people in the house there are always plenty of options, but she was disgruntled that popcorn was not one of them. Eventually agreed to a chocolate filled brioche and drank a smoothie.

Snack - way too many grapes and some orange juice.

Lunch - hummus... on its own... just a bowl of hummus... didn’t want to dip the prepared pitta bread, carrot sticks, or cucumber.

Snack - the previously rejected carrot and cucumber.

Dinner - pasta with pesto, peas and “proccoli” (broccoli). Refused any side salad except a few bits of cucumber picked out and rinsed so they weren’t contaminated by lettuce and tomato...

Thesearmsofmine · 24/10/2018 10:58

Yesterday 2.5 year old

Breakfast- Bowl of alphabites cereal. a banana and a yogurt

Lunch- Breadsticks and soft cheese to dip them in, a couple of snack cucumbers, a couple of strawberries, grapes and blueberries. 1/2 bag mini cheddars and a smal piece of birthday cake

Snack- a soreen lunchbox loaf

Dinner- I made pasta carbonara then he had another yogurt and an apple
