Following on from 'Chicken nugget-gate' on the other thread 😉 and the popularity of the "What did you eat today" thread. I have to ask...

What Did Your Toddler Eat Today?

OP posts:
bumblebee39 · 24/10/2018 21:34

Oh and a tub of fruit purée after his muesli too!

Beautifulblue · 24/10/2018 22:21

I've loved reading this thread! I thought my DD was the worst eater ever but this has made me realise they're all little buggars (mostly) when it comes to food!
DD 14 months today has had -
Breakfast - Bagel with Philadelphia (sucked the cheese off)
Lunch - Apple rice cakes, baby bell & ellas carrot sticks. (Sort of just sucked everything again doubt much actually went in her belly)
Dinner - Ella's pouch, veggie bean something... ate about 3/4 then some natural yogurt! Win!

meepmoop · 24/10/2018 22:38

Breakfast - porridge made with 7oz whole milk. Strawberries and raspberries

Lunch - fried egg, toast, cheese and cucumber refused all of it. Pear for dessert which he ate.

Snack - 2 cheese thins, banana, couple chunks of my apple

Tea - potato (couple bites), steak, chicken strips, cheese (a few bits) and broccoli

Seems to be surviving on fruit at the minute

Breadfoam · 24/10/2018 22:58

Dd - 2.10

Wouldn’t eat breakfast first thing.

Mid morning (out for breakfast) sausage, hash brown, yolk of fried egg. Small packet chocolate chip cookies

Lunch - cous cous, sweetcorn, cherry tomatoes

Mid afternoon - banana, veggie crisps

Dinner - spaghetti bolognaise and garlic bread. Are more garlic bread than anything else
Pancake with fruit

1/2 pint of semi skimmed milk.

Is this loads?!

WitBeyondMeasure · 24/10/2018 23:16

Homemade pancakes (not homemade by me, I don't have time for that. DH made them and then I did the cleanup operation while he went to work)

A satsuma, a bowl of grapes

Super noodles.... not my finest day, but all three eat them and I wasn't feeling an argument today:
A yogurt

Halloween themed tricolour pasta (again it stopped the meal time moans from older kids) home made pasta sauce and meatballs (meatball.. she doesn't like meat)

Strawberry jelly. Raspberries.

bumblebee39 · 27/10/2018 18:51

B- Weetabix (refused) cup of formula (drunk all of it)
S- cheese puffs (eaten)
L- peanut butter sandwich and cup of dilute Apple juice (drunk/eaten)
S- 2 biscuits (ate one) more dilute Apple juice (drunk)
D- pork mango and veggies baby dinner (refused) half a jam sandwich (eaten)
S- will be a cup of formula

Dreadful day 🙈 honestly...

bumblebee39 · 28/10/2018 19:07

B- jam on toast and a cup of formula
S- cheese puffs and another smaller cup of formula
L- was asleep
S- 1/2 a peanut butter sandwich, a couple of cookies and some diluted Apple juice
D- Sausages (eaten), stuffing (eaten), veg (played with) mash (played with), cup of water
S- another cup of formula and a cookie

Still struggling to get him onto food properly. He's refusing baby dinners (1yr+ ones) but not eating anything but hand held foods...

Going to try and get some better handheld foods this week. I know he'll just end up living off sausages, crisps, biscuits, sandwiches and formula again though 🙈

meepmoop · 28/10/2018 20:00

Breakfast - 2 crumpets with butter
Before nap - 7oz cows milk
Lunch - roast beef, potatoes, carrot and swede mash, peas and Yorkshire pudding. Ate over half
Tea - peanut butter sandwich (2/3) couple chunks of cheese and sticks of cucumber.
Bedtime 7oz cows milk

Not to bad a day but more bread then I would like

Babybearsporij · 28/10/2018 20:24

My 3 year old:

Weetabix, milk
Yoghurt
Apple
Raisins
Was taken out for lunch and had sausage, mash & peas
I'm at work now, but DH says they weren't that hungry and have just eaten a brioche with jam on and some cherry tomatoes.

AragonsGirl · 28/10/2018 20:38

My 4 year old has a sickness bug so hasn’t really eaten anything today.
My 14 month old has been a wee greedy guys! He’s had

Breastfeed at 6.30, after which I persuaded him to go back to sleep!

Breakfast- weetabix and half a slice of toast

Snack- grapes and blueberries, couple of cubes of cheese

Lunch- cucumber and tomato, carrot puffs, bread, pear (most of which he threw at me!)

Dinner- pork, roast potatoes, carrots, sprouts, yoghurt, a satsuma

Another breastfeed before bed

bumblebee39 · 29/10/2018 10:31

So far...

B- Cup of formula (drunk), apple slices (mostly eaten), banana (eaten), raisins (sucked and spat out).

S- mini cocktail sausages about 10 wolfed down, water

L- will be buttered crackers and cucumber, possibly some more cocktail sausages, diluted Apple juice

D- Will be tuna pasta salad

Trying to improve his diet a bit but it's a slow process... He hates any new tastes or textures and plays with more food than he eats...

notyourmummy · 29/10/2018 12:31

ConsumerUnitNotTraceable · 29/10/2018 17:57

Have a just turned 3yo:

Breakfast: A slice of toast and butter with some cheese cubes and grapes.

Lunch: 1 slice of HM pizza which she was 'super hungry' for and had to eat immediately. Forgot about the rest of it
Little Dessert yoghurt

Snack: Half a Barney Bear, a pack of Pom Bears.

Dinner: Sausages, Mash, Peas and Gravy.
Some fruit and custard for pudding.

She also still has a bottle of milk in the morning and one before bed with a biscuit or rusk of some sort.
Plenty of water throughout the day and 1 fruit shoot too.

Currently in a phase where she will try anything but will only eat five mouthfuls and then say she's had enough.
Point Blank refuses to eat anymore!!

bumblebee39 · 30/10/2018 14:49

DonaldDucksTowel · 01/11/2018 18:23

I love this thread, been stealing ideas from it Smile

Today my 2 year old has had:
B - 1 weetabix, mini banana and a strawberry Greek yoghurt baby pouch (I know he's too old for them but he's rediscovered his love for pouches since DD started weaning and I don't care enough to care)
L - cheese on toast, baby plum tomatoes, cucumber & a chocolate chip cookie
S - 1 chunk of melon and half a bag of quavers (bloody grandad 🙄)
D - chicken & veg casserole with sweet potato mash and broccoli and a peach for pudding
He's now raiding his trick or treat bucket while he watches paw patrol

DD is 9 months but toddling so I'm counting her too, she's had:
B - blueberry baby porridge, a mango Greek yoghurt baby pouch and she snaffled a bit of my toasted teacake
Mid morning - 7oz formula
L - last nights leftover chilli & rice, about 1/4 of an avocado, 1 chunk of cucumber and 1 chunk of tomato which both got sucked and threw on the floor
Mid afternoon - 7oz formula
D - chicken and veg casserole, sweet potato mash & broccoli with some peach slices for pudding
Will have 7oz formula for bed

DonaldDucksTowel · 01/11/2018 18:24

*The 2 year old will also have milk before bed

Thesearmsofmine · 01/11/2018 18:32

Too much sweet stuff today for mine

Breakfast- fruit toast and a banana
Lunch- turkey fajitas and a small piece of birthday cake
Dinner- Chicken sandwich(1 slice of bread), a couple of slices of cucumber, a cherry tomato, a few crisps. a fromage frais. a party ring and some raisins and chocolate chips.

Plus a couple of cups of blue milk and water to drink.

whoknowswhynow · 01/11/2018 18:49

He barely ate yesterday so I think he's making up for it today!
B - half a piece of toast with marmite and loads of raspberries
Then asked for cake a few hours later so had 3 (!) large yogurt rice cakes. Normally only eats one!
Strawberry milkshake
L - spaghetti bolegenese with half a piece of garlic bread and a banana
Some sweets before a long car journey and apple juice
D - chicken and sweet corn nuggets and baked beans and raisins for afters with lots of water.
A lot of sweet stuff but I'm glad he's eating again after a few days of not being well!

Cuppaqueen · 01/11/2018 18:53

Tall 18mo ate:

B: 1.5 weetabix with milk, a dollop of natural yoghurt and fresh raspberries, then a few mouthfuls of my toast & hummus later

Snack: banana & a milk pudding

L: Hummus, ham & tomato sandwich (2 slices, top crusts off); ate half at nursery, picked at the rest at home, plus apple & date snack bar

Snack: Strawberries with a bit of yoghurt, refused babybel (after he'd peeled it, of course 🤨). His dad squeezed him an orange when he got in from work and he stole half a cookie!

D: Leftover sausage & bean casserole with about 1/4 of a jacket potato. He's also not a potato fan. Was very fussy over it so didn't get dessert.

He's having another growth spurt and eating tons at the moment.

bumblebee39 · 01/11/2018 19:27

B- banana, chocolate croissant, cup of formula, a few sips of chocolate milk 🙈

SecondTimeCharm · 02/11/2018 08:29

almost 3 yr old dd today (fussy nightmare in the last few months)

seeded wholemeal toast with ‘nothing added’ pb and then half of MY jam version

go ahead yogurt biscuits

most likely boiled/scrambled egg with... yet more toast for lunch

couscous/pasta with peas and chicken for dinner

apple and yogurt for snacks, will beg for crisps cakes and sweets too. might get a trick or treat sized bag of choc buttons or a natural yog ice lolly

(very weak) hot chocolate before bed as that’s the only way she drinks milk now
