My DD is really hard work - she's 2.

This thread has really helped me forgive myself a bit for my "bad parenting guilt" over her diet!

Breakfast - first thing a bottle of milk and then toast.

Lunch - Hotdog, Apple slices

Dinner - something with mashed potato in it, we hide veg in there but even that's a bit hit and miss.

Cheese crackers are usually a win.

Pom Bears of we are out and she's getting hangry.

Plenty of water and another bottle for afternoon nap and then bedtime.

She's on a full range of organic vitamins...

ThisBitch · 13/10/2018 13:26

2 shredded wheat with milk
A bottle of milk
2 slices of toast with jam
2 bananas
2 pears
1 Apple
2 packs of baby crisps (carrot puffs/apple rice cake things)
A box of rasins
4 bear fruit roll things
Pasta with tuna and veg and cheese
2 cups of apple juice
A bottle of water

Later on he will have curry, rice and naan bread with us for tea and a bottle of milk before bed. He will also take a lot more snacks throughout the rest of the day. Just turned 2yo (boy) if any were wondering Grin I'm fucked when he grows into a teen.

PeanutButterAndJamOnToast · 13/10/2018 13:26

Snack
Veggie straws
1 yogurt covered rice cake

Camomila · 13/10/2018 13:27

DS 2.5 has had porridge, juice and a bit of daddys omlette for breakfast

Mid morning breastfeed

Will be having a happy meal for lunch! (Easy when we go swimming)

Some kind of mid afternoon snack...usually fruit and a bit of cheddar

Going to my parents for dinner....they usually make a pasta dish or chicken with potatoes and veg.

Drinks water throughout the day.

CatLadyToddlerMother · 13/10/2018 13:28

3 year old DD:

Bowl of Cheerios
2 slices of toast
A banana

6 pack of shortbread biscuits from Tesco cafe
Orange
Banana
Full size Curly Wurly

Wrap with Turkey and Haslet
Frubes Yogurt
Raisins

Tea will be Slow Cooker Chinese Beef, Noodles and Veg. No pudding as she's eaten loads today.

She is below 25th centile for height and weight so not overweight, she just eats a lot.

PseudoQuim · 13/10/2018 13:31

17 month old had most of his bowl of porridge and 2/3 of a cup of water for breakfast. More water when out shopping, then conked out for a nap when we got back (teething, eugh).

Lunch will consist of a buttered potato scone (hot), with a few crisps and sliced apple. He might lick the apple if I'm lucky. He used to eat veg and fruit but has now gone right off it and trickery must be involved if any is to pass his lips. I will probably give him a mini maltloaf or similar, then milk.

Dinner will be pasta with chicken and sausage. He'll ignore the chicken (texture thing) but will eat some sausage before spitting part chewed bits all down himself. The pasta probably won't get much of a look in (again due to texture). He will wolf down the garlic bread and stare at mine until I give him more. This will probably be followed by a yogurt or similar if I can muster the energy for the resulting clean up Hmm

lornathewizzard · 13/10/2018 13:37

4yo and 2yo

Breakfast - cornflakes, and 2yo has toast aswell.

A wee kinder bar with milk/tea for 4yo

Cheese and onion crisps

Tinned tomato and veg soup with bread and apples. 2yo had milk aswell.

Will likely have another snack this afternoon and who knows what for dinner because I've not done the shopping yet. 4yo has asked for pasta

Bowl of Cheerios for breakfast. Half a chicken and ham wrap, then a whole bloody punnet of strawberries for lunch.

mimi14 · 13/10/2018 13:40

3 year old has had

2 bowls of rice krispies, grapes, satsuma and a few raisins.

2 biscuits

Cheese on toast with cucumber and cherry tomatoes. Peppa pig yogurt.

She'll probably have a couple more snacks before dinner which will be roast pork with aubergine and sweet potato (which she'll probably have seconds of!)

Wauden · 13/10/2018 13:43

Breakfast - hoola hoops in supermarket follwed by chocolate cake
Lunch - chicken nuggets and chips and coca cola (the standard one)
Dinner - McDonald's, chips, and McFlurry
He won't eat any fruit or veg, so we don't give him any as he has to be happy.
Sorry, not true at all, but I couldn't resist it.

AHobbyaweek · 13/10/2018 13:43

BusyMum47 · 13/10/2018 14:19

Hang in there mums of toddlers - I promise it gets better! Our now 11yr old eats pretty much anything (with enthusiasm!) but when he was a toddler, mealtimes made me lose my shit!!!!

AlphaBravo · 13/10/2018 14:55

@Nofilter

"This thread has really helped me forgive myself a bit for my "bad parenting guilt" over her diet!"

That's why I started it so I'm made up if it's stopped one person from feeling the peer guilt ❤

All the goady fuckers on the other thread wound me up 😂

AlphaBravo · 13/10/2018 14:57

Update - MiniAlpha just wandered in to the kitchen eating a cream cracker. We haven't had cream crackers in for at least a week so I don't know where he'd stashed that 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

OP posts:
reallyreallynow · 13/10/2018 15:03

@AlphaBravo can I just say fish fingers and roast potatoes have no right to be on the same plate!

Roast potatoes go with gravy
Fish fingers are served as a sandwich with ketchup

Following on from nuggetgate this is verging on abuse!

Light-heartedGrinGrinGrin

reallyreallynow · 13/10/2018 15:05

@AlphaBravo and my toddlers are now 26& 25 and eat everything when they come round, take food home, eat more and empty the fridge.....

user1471426142 · 13/10/2018 15:06

Breakfast: seeded bread and butter with raspberries and a cup of milk (and sliced chicken that she helped herself to from the fridge)

Lunch: pitta, cucumber, cheese, prawns and blueberries

She’ll have a bottle when she wakes from her nap and probably a banana.

Dinner - no idea- either boiled eggs or sea bass, potatoes and broccoli depending on what I can be bothered to cook. We’re having an Indian.

Oneinthegrave · 13/10/2018 15:10

13 month DS so far,
1 weetabix and mini yoghurt
Easy peeler orange & half a banana
Half a Ham and cheese wrap

For dinner he’ll have 2 vegetable fingers, mashed potato and peas
Then probably some mini rice cakes or a jaffa cake

4 oz cows milk with his vitamins mixed in will have more before bed

GreenTurtle1 · 13/10/2018 15:11

14 month old.

Rice crispies for breakfast

Couple of strawberries and grapes cut up small for snack. Did also try pate on crumpet which she just played with.

Beans and cheese on toast for lunch

Most of a satsuma for afternoon snack

She will have sausage, carrot, broccoli, sweet corn and some form of potato for dinner
