Following on from 'Chicken nugget-gate' on the other thread 😉 and the popularity of the "What did you eat today" thread. I have to ask...

What Did Your Toddler Eat Today?

OP posts:

Yesterday they had:

2 year old:
B - 1 weetabix & a yoghurt
L - butternut squash soup, 1 slice buttered bread & a banana
S - grapes, cheese cubes & berry smoothie
D - 2 sausages, mash, carrots, green beans & gravy
Some little sweeties from his trick or treat bucket
Bedtime - milk

9 month old:
B - blueberry baby porridge & yoghurt
Mid morning - 7oz formula
L - butternut squash soup, about 1/4 buttered bread, 1/2 banana
Mid afternoon - 7oz formula
D - little stick of skinless sausage, mash, few carrot batons, 1 green bean & gravy
Mango fruit pouch
Bedtime - 7oz formula

Today we have a birthday in the house (the 2 year old is no more) so I suspect sugar sugar and more sugar 🙈

bumblebee39 · 03/11/2018 09:08

Yesterday...

B- cup of formula, oaty bar
S- ham sandwich, 2 biscuits
L- the jam sandwich his sister left at breakfast
S- 2 tubes of fruit purée, water
D- (MCDs 🙈) the bread cheese and tartare sauce but not the fish burger in a fillet of fish, a few chips, a fruit bag and cow's milk.
S- rest of cow's milk from earlier.

I am starting to wean him off formula and onto cow's milk but he only likes semi skimmed 🙄

DonaldDucksTowel · 03/11/2018 09:16

bumblebee I wouldn't worry about the semi skimmed/whole milk/full fat stuff, my now 3 year old reacts to cows milk so he drinks oat milk and seems to be growing fine (he's humongous actually 🙈)

Breakfast was their dad's leftover chocolate ginger birthday cake which they attacked with cutlery while I was getting dressed and their dad was having a shit. Both of us thought the other was supervising. In less than 5 minutes they had demolished half of the best cake I ever baked... Mainly just hacking at it and eating chocolate ganache and crystallized ginger, but also eating enough of it to be Totally Mental for a good hour. I'm normally pretty strict about sugar. Maybe these are misters of my own creation.

They also both half ate bananas.

Breakfast normally consists of muesli, Weetabix, porridge or pancakes on a weekend, with fruit.

I'm still finding crumbs. I nearly cried.

Dinner was a shared cheap and cheerful falafel wrap from our local market. Toddler 2 ate all of it. Toddler 2 ate half the bread, carefully chewed and spit out each pickle, ate most of the falafel apart from the bits she crumbled and then demanded that I ate, smeared hummus all over the table, her face, her clothes and hair, ate all the salad. Toddler 1 are some of toddler 2's regurgitated pickles.

Tea was pasta with leftover lentil Bolognese and leftover red pepper and tomato sauce and cheese on top.

Tangerines and more half eaten bananas were also consumed. I have a small banana graveyard in my fridge. A new banana must be opened at each sitting. I buy huge cheap bags of them at the market and then mix the reject ones into their porridge. Apart from not when they start the day with delicious chocolate cake.

DS 2.5

Breakfast: A ring donut (bought some yesterday at the fireworks but said he couldn't have it before bed) and a tangerine.
Lunch: 2 slices of oven pizza and ignored his plum tomatoes
Didn't want any of the offered healthy afternoon snacks and wasn't getting any more halloween sweets.
Dinner: Quorn chilli with rice and grated cheddar (ate the rice and chedddar, maybe tried some chilli) then nibbled on a apple.

Drank milk and water.

masktaster · 03/11/2018 22:28

17 month old -
Breakfast - a few bitesize shredded wheat, a few special k flakes, a few cheerios with a little whole milk. A pear, which inexplicably disappeared, so I don't know how much was eaten. Probably at least a quarter.
Dinner: two fish fingers, a few pieces of brocolli, homemade potato wedges. Mostly ate the fish fingers and a little of the wedges. Baby chocolate biscuit to distract him from the grown up pudding
Tea: a crumpet, a little bit of soup (spiced lentil and vegetable), half a banana, a couple of chunks of cheese.

More breast feeds than I can be bothered to count. Water available through the day.
