Does anyone really care about this? I know tabloids are trying to push this as fascinating and brilliant news (probably at request of her dad) but who cares if a random upper class women gets married? Why is it on tv? Why would anyone be mad enough to go on watch a carriage possession in Windsor and more importantly why does the tax payer have to pick up the bill for security etc?

Doesn't look like it's grabbing much public interest, although if it's anything like it is here in Gloucestershire today, there's no way I'd be stood out in it!

I'll tune in to see the highlights and probably ghastly dresses if the hats/clothes both sisters wear usually are anything to go by 😳

I’m not interested in the wedding at all. I would be interested if a terrorist attack killed the entire Royal Family and the hundreds of guests, spectators, police and other staff so I think the security bill is necessary and justified.

I am soooo excited. I have been camping on the streets of Windsor for a week now in anticipation. I have had a massive tattoo of Eugenie done on my left breast. Right breast left clear for when the other one gets married - whatsername, Betty or something

Personally id be happy with a republic but if we're going to have a monarchy then protecting them is part of the deal.

I’ve grown to like them more as the years go by (and I say that as a republican). They seem much more genuine than the fake fakers of today (think8ng Meghan and Kate who have to present this fake image of perfection, who people are grovelling to because they happened to marry the right person).

Both girls are beautiful and seem a laugh, but they are shown in the worst light by the media - who pick and choose the photos. They could be portrayed so different, but that wouldn’t be fun, would it?

I don't know why there is s much vitriol directed at these 2.As far as I understand they get no money from what used to be the civil ist (can't remember the new name) They didn't choose to be born into the royal family and live their lives in a goldfish bowl.If the queen and all the senior royals had to come to an event I was hosting , I would not expect to pay for their security.

The royal family should have paid for this wedding not the tax payer. I don't like the fact that homeless people have had to have been moved because it might offend the royals. Sod them! The money spent on this wedding could have helped the homeless to find accommodation.

Nobody has to care or watch on TV so what's the problem? There's so much resentment when somebody financially better off suddenly has a fairly elaborate celebration. I don't care, I like my life and no-one follows me around with a camera. I wish the couple all the happiness in the world and now you've put it in my head, will put the TV on.

I didn't care and thought she was a bit of a freeloader. But going to watch it anyway because - dresses. But they're just being interviewed by eammon and Ruth and they come across really well. Maybe they should give them some royal duties.

She doesn't actually get paid by the crown apparently so not a huge burden on society. I love a good wedding, going to check in for the dress.

I think the Queen will be thrilled to see her granddaughter get married as would any grandmother and if we can pay 18million for Trumps security then Eugenies is a drop in the ocean.

I would agree security needs to be factored into their wedding planning costs.
