I've not taken the time to read any of the thread, or any of your updates but I'd like to repeat everything everyone else has already said

So the point is that I really love DH and although he can be an arse sometimes who isnt an arse I mean are you I certainly can be but he said that I shouldnt switch on the washing machine at the same time as mumsnetting and I said I can do what I like I am a grown mumsnetter and anyway it was actually his turn but I coudn't wait any longer the pants were starting to clog up my system not my internal system you understand but my washing processing system which DH hasn't got the first clue about because he is a man child and I think I probably have a DH problem not a MIL one because all my MIL does is give me super helpful tips about how to iron more efficiently I am not sure she has read Wife Work I am thinking of giving it to her for Christmas do you think she'll like it does it matter really I am just a bit upset that no one has just 'checked in' to see if I am still OK I guess my thread isn't as exciting as an episode of Corrie you win some you lose some I suppose but the car is still there and I'm starting to enjoy living in a box with 'my house' on the outside so all in all life is ok
