To think the tide is turning with transgenderism

There have been a flood of articles in mainstream newspapers criticising transgenderism and putting forward the feminist perspective. It is not long ago that no mainstream newspaper would carry these articles. The tide seems to be turning.

It was clearly sarcastic. I picked up on it straight away, plus I recognised the username as a poster who is openly pro trans. A quick AS will also confirm the fact she is pro trans and anti gender critical feminism.

Yeah well, if you're picking up from facts such as a well known username, not everyone will know as a lot hide the feminism boards.

I wonder if @StormTreader will apologise for accusing an openly pro trans poster of being transphobic?

Plants, it read horribly. Sarcasm doesn't always convey in written tone. Not everyone knows who posts what.

If someone makes a post that is so easily misread by multiple people as being offensive, then no.
I'm not going to apologise because they have previously posted other views, I do not investigate a posters post history before I decide if a post is offensive or not. If I post anti-racism posts, do I then get a pass to post a racist comment? No.

If I have upset the poster unjustly, then that's unfortunate and I'm sorry about that. Maybe they will tag unclear posts as sarcastic in future to prevent it happening again.

I don't think that poster posts on the feminism board. She's anti gender critical feminist. That's kind of the point.

This reminds me of the time that MN intern screenshotted some alleged transphobic posts to show how to show how rampant transphobia apparently is here. Except one of the posts was from a poster who was openly pro trans and was taking the piss out of the so called anti trans posters and the intern had taken it seriously .

Plants, yeah, outside of the FWR boards where you get some balance and a lot against any transphobia. Other way round in there though, hence it getting hidden and presumably why it's creeping out here so much lately.

No I don't expect people to AS every poster.

I do however expect people to not carelessly toss out the word transphobia like I doesn't mean anything.

As I said, you're getting more balance out here away from the echo chamber, so this thread not "as" bad as the rest.

Plus what's the point, as usually pointing out any results in the posters disagreeing it is as they have no clue they're being it in the first place, or know but don't care and pretend they're not
