AIBU?
Is there a Rebecca Humphries thread? Her public statement about the end of her relationship is awesome.
bluetrampolines · 08/10/2018 21:32
I will try and link. I love that she took the cat!
PortiaCastis · 08/10/2018 21:36
Yes read her statement, you go girl well done you're the only person with some dignity in the whole sorry mess
thenightsky · 08/10/2018 21:36
Someone posted her statement on the Strictly thread, but it was too small for me to read and distorted when I tried to enlarge.
bluetrampolines · 08/10/2018 21:36
She's the now ex of one of the celebs from Strictly who kissed his pro dancer. I cant link. Sorry.

her statement is here
Sorry for DM link but it was the first that came up on google.
covetingthepreciousthings · 08/10/2018 21:43
I hope this helps boost her career, brilliant statement. Very pleased she took the cat
I think this will finish him off.. I think he should bow out of Strictly now.
MrsReacher1 · 08/10/2018 21:45
She would have had more dignity if she had said nothing.
It was a kiss, blown up by the media, made worse by people who love a drama, and in the end people got hurt. The Daily Mail readers will be on to someone else before the tears have dried.
If she wants to end her relationship - fair enough - but on Twitter??
PortiaCastis · 08/10/2018 21:45
Don't think anyone will vote for the squirming turd if he stays
Athena51 · 08/10/2018 21:45
I just read her statement. She clearly has class, dignity and the cat.
He sounds like a horrible, arrogant, controlling tosspot. I think she's well out of it.
redwineandcrisps · 08/10/2018 21:46
I honestly whoooped when I read it. I don’t know her, but as someone who’s recently been through similar, I was so bloody proud of her reaction. I got the cat too
Standinguptononsense · 08/10/2018 21:46
So proud of her for not taking his shit. There are too many abusive men in the world.
RollerJed · 08/10/2018 21:47
Why shouldn't she reply publicly when she's been humiliated so publicly? She's more dignity than those two twatters.
covetingthepreciousthings · 08/10/2018 21:47
@MrsReacher1 it wasn't just like a peck on the cheek.. and if that's what they're doing in public, I can only imagine what they're up to behind closed doors. I don't think it was blown up by the media, the video said it all.
Sakura7 · 08/10/2018 21:47
Fantastic, classy lady! Sad to read of his gaslighting but she's well rid now.
SheCameFromGreeceSheHadaThirst · 08/10/2018 21:48

Or, according to the statement, it was publicly recorded proof of the affair she'd suspected for weeks, and that he'd gaslighted and verbally abused her about. Not just the one-off, drunken mistake that they tried to spin it as.
KC225 · 08/10/2018 21:49
Good statement. Love it that she didn't sell her sad face to OK/Closer or whatever they are called. I wish you and your cat well.
Ozil10 · 08/10/2018 21:50
It's a great statement by Rebecca.
What was perceived as a drunken kiss is now found to probably not be a singular one, and probably one of many just the first that has been caught on camera. If the statement from her is true them he is shown to be a gaslighting, emotional abusive ticket who should leave quietly or else the public are going to vote him out at the weekend anyway.
I hope the statement from Rebecca will resonate with the many women on Mumsnet struggling in similar situations and produce some good from a truly horrid action.
A Women's Aid statement will follow most likely, and the producers would be so stupid to ignore the claims in this statement as most of the public I've read are on Rebecca's side.
