Thought I'd be in the minority. NOT excusing his behaviour - it was unacceptable. Not a nice thing to do - and I don't blame her for ending it. Neither do I think she's amazing for putting it all on Twitter though - just fuels the flames of the drama - that's all.

I am clueless to who he is but she on the other hand is one awesome lady. She has her dignity and good for her for calling him on his past emotionally abusive behavior.

I hope she goes on to find great happiness in life.

She hasn't ended her relationship on Twitter. She ended it in real life, and, having unwittingly found herself at the centre of a media shitstorm and some very public humiliation, she's opted to make one brief statement about it.

I know there are people who are far more comfortable when women who have suffered emotional abuse and humiliation at the hands of vile men just slink away quietly and don't say a word, but why the fuck should they stay quiet? He's a nasty piece of work, and she can announce that if she wants to.

I do nt know him or her, so i am not going to believe everything one says over the other.

It must almost be a relief to have proof in black and white that no, she isn't crazy like he'll have had her believe, but is actually a thoroughly sane and perceptive.

I don't watch Strictly but heard there's been a snog between two of the taken contestants.

This woman is awesome, what how refreshing to see a scorned woman not stick by her cheating arse of a man but instead walk away with dignity. She is awesome!

@mrsreacher1 it would have been her most dignified option for stopping the relentless media requests and intrusion she would have been facing.

I thought it was a brilliant statement. He sounds like a total knob and she has come out of it with dignity and has said enough for the press to leave her alone.

The cat, Winston, is lovely and clearly a much better life partner.

I agree she would have shown more dignity if she'd said nothing. She already had the public on her side - the mud slinging is a bit grim and is fueling the drama imo. But hey, she's in the public eye too and there's no such thing as bad publicity etc etc...
