I'm on the ball today, made a potato hash which is ready to be heated once the girls are home from school. My stomachs already rumbling for it lol.

What's on your menu for today?

Lamb casserole here, just gone into the oven now as it's small lamb cutlets so won't take very long to cook. Serving with potatoes au gratin, so an easy meal all cooked together in the oven. Wine Wine

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 09/10/2018 16:13

Meatball subs because it's Scouts night and I just can't be arsed to do anything else

AloeVeraDuckworth · 09/10/2018 16:18

Leftover chicken and chorizo with pasta and salad. Should take all of 10mins to cook the pasta and chop the salad. Love nights like this.

SargeantAngua · 09/10/2018 16:56

I've been super efficient and put a slow cooker pot full of veg and bean pasta sauce on for later - dp's going out so he can eat his early and I can have mine when I'm ready for it. Brownie points to me! (He's the cook of the house as I'm ill and struggle with it so he should be happy when he gets in)

Thatstheendofmytether · 09/10/2018 16:59

I was too OP had beef casserole on at 8.30 this morning. Just the mash bit I use frozen since last week 😂 so much easier and I like it better, dp won't touch it. Considering what veg to have or wether to even bother.

Mummaluelae · 09/10/2018 17:05

My dp will be making bakes (flat fried dumpling) with sausage and beans

explodingkitten · 09/10/2018 17:09

Courgetti pesto with chicken, peas and green beans.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 09/10/2018 17:40

Just leftovers today as we had a big buffet at the weekend and the fridge is crammed.

maddiemookins16mum · 09/10/2018 18:42

We’ve just eaten DD’s (14) homemade spag bol and very nice it was too (although she needs to add a bit more seasoning but I’ll work on that). Tuesday night is her night to cook. She’s also made a chocolate brownie (the Mumsnet 3 ingredient one) and we’ll have that with a cuppa during Bake Off.

Notrightatall · 09/10/2018 18:56

Fish pie with veg.

Kaykay06 · 09/10/2018 18:57

Mince potatoes and swede, fajitas and meatballs as I’m cooking for work and the kids so just making it all in one night am knackered

Kaykay06 · 09/10/2018 18:57

Obviously separated meals

BlueSuffragette · 09/10/2018 19:14

Sausages, mash, peas and thick gravy with fried onions in it.

Missm00 · 09/10/2018 19:17

Had king prawn paella tonight.

It’s a Gousto recipe, about once a month I treat myself to a recipe box to give me more ideas of things to cook, and to try out recipes I wouldn’t usually.

mumof2sarah · 09/10/2018 19:35

My shepherds pie ended up being a Nando's with my eldest daughter and some shopping. I'm not even a huge Nando's fan tbh but it was her choice.

Hope you're all enjoying your meals today x

We've had mushroom, spinach and sweet corn stroganoff with rice. It was delicious and there's a bit left as hubbie is away (rubbish at adjusting portions). We had it really early before brownie run so I'm trying to resist the urge to eat another portion! Lots of lovely ideas. I love trying new recipes👍

SleepyMcEdie · 09/10/2018 21:13

@Xiaoxiong I found some bbq sauce in the cupboard so wrapped the chicken in bacon, smothered in sauce and covered with cheese. 3 million calories but yummy!

mumof2sarah · 10/10/2018 07:47

@SleepyMcEdie I've not made that in so so long, I now have to buy chicken breasts today and make it lol x
