I'm on the ball today, made a potato hash which is ready to be heated once the girls are home from school. My stomachs already rumbling for it lol.

What's on your menu for today?

Sizzling Sausage from The Dinner Lady recipe book!

I found it in a charity shop and it's quite a good book for solid stapley type meals!

MonkeyGoneToHeaven · 08/10/2018 16:40

Your meals all sound amazing.

Mine is Swedish pork and dill meatballs with soured cream sauce, with pasta ribbons (DH) and courgette ribbons (me). I think I will put some green beans in it to up the veg content.

Waitrose mango sorbet for pudding Smile

Cauliflower, pepper and red onion traybake fajitas.

It was going to be a vegan shawarma kebab thingy but I have a piece of cauliflower to use to up and I had the fajitas the other day and they were lovely so I thought I'd have the same again.

mogloveseggs · 08/10/2018 16:51

Spaghetti and meatballs. Everyone was starving after school so we’ve eaten it already!

ohgiveitadayoff · 08/10/2018 16:52

Beef curry with yesterdays left over beef

HmmmWellAllRightyThen · 08/10/2018 16:53

Whatever my husband makes for us.

I'm guessing it will be a curry.

yawning801 · 08/10/2018 16:53

Gammon sandwich, using the leftovers from yesterday's roast.

babybluegirl · 08/10/2018 16:53

I have 2 sickish children so I made a slow cooker chicken casserole - it’s very yummy for a wet miserable afternoon - perfect comfort food

CantankerousCamel · 08/10/2018 16:55

Brisket

BackBoiler · 08/10/2018 16:56

Lasagne with green veg. Fancy something stodgy!

JeanPagett · 08/10/2018 16:57

Chorizo hash and I've made up a Shepard's pie for tomorrow.

@MintMunchie those fajitas sound delish, I might do those later in the week.

Sarahlou63 · 08/10/2018 16:58

Its Thanksgiving day here, and we have a houseful arriving in an hour.
We are having apple glazed ham on the bone, baked beans with bacon, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and rolls.

Apple crumble pie and roasted pumpkin pie with whipped cream and ice cream to go along.

Hot toddies around the fire once it gets dark

Tonight we're having WW-recipe chicken jalfrezi, which DH made yesterday.

I'm getting so into organising our food; I've taken out enough curry to feed us, and then portioned and frozen the rest.

I made a huge batch of bolognaise sauce earlier, made some into a lasagne, and have frozen the rest.

I made a huge vat of soup and it's now portioned out and frozen.

DH never freezes stuff or saves anything, but I love it! We were too skint to do a food shop last month, but my penny-pinching freezer skills saw us through. :) I save everything.

Fstar · 08/10/2018 17:06

Just eaten halloumi burgers with chickpea salad, so good

Sammy900 · 08/10/2018 17:06

snurfflepots · 08/10/2018 17:23

Mushroom and leek tagliatelle in a garlic, cream and white wine sauce... I'm on the commute home and I'm ready for it!

Lila99 · 08/10/2018 17:26

Got a chilli on the go in the slow cooker Grin

blamethecat · 08/10/2018 17:28

Chicken tikka masala at ds request. With homemade flatbread .

5foot5 · 08/10/2018 17:28

DD is cooking tonight. She needs to go out early so is making something that she can have her share of and then DH and I heat up the rest for us. Should be a nice big pot of minestrone with crusty bread and parmesan cheese

SleepyMcEdie · 08/10/2018 17:31

I’m a rubbish cook- Tesco delivery has just been and yet I still have no idea what we can have for tea.

DS already eaten so just me and DH.

Any ideas please on what to make using the 3 packets of chicken I seem to have ordered (4 breasts and mini fillets)? I’ve got some basics in the cupboard but don’t own anything fancy! We are quite simple eaters.

bruce43mydog · 08/10/2018 17:31

Beans and toast. I am on a diet unfortunatly 😊

MessyBun247 · 08/10/2018 17:33

Chicken, quorn cocktail sausages, boiled spuds, petit pois and carrots. With chicken gravy!

PippaRabbit · 08/10/2018 17:39

Sausage and butter bean hotpot. It's cold wet and very windy here so comfort food was a must tonight.
