Good on you, Sir Patrick Stewart and Delia Smith!

Not just celebrities - some politicians and business owners, too.

No surfer, it's not all Leavers, just you!

There's literally no point in asking you for a sensible answer because we've been there more times than I care to remember and you never have any.

I really do want to hear about all these benefits of Leaving but asking you for them is pointless.

There's other Leavers who come and go, or name change, and they are as bad but I guess it's not the same old faces.

The fact is, you lot have no answers and just want to send the economy off a cliff edge because you don't like immigrants and you think that's the only effect Brexit will have.

AnotherCareerThread · 08/10/2018 13:41

@surferjet But WHY don't you want to be part of the EU? That's the whole question.

Bearbehind · 08/10/2018 13:46

Ignore the 'lot' above.

PickleSarnie · 08/10/2018 13:46

Please let's stop all this pessimistic hysteria. We were fine before we joined the Common Market in the early 70s and we will be fine again

Ahhh yes, the 70s. Those days of soaring unemployment, plummeting GDP, 3 day weeks and constant striking. Those were good times.

surferjet · 08/10/2018 14:04

I want to end FOM yes.
I want this country to only let in people who have the skills we need & who will make a valid contribution to our country. I don’t care what country these skilled workers come from.

Can you tell me what is wrong with that?

SisterOfDonFrancisco · 08/10/2018 14:04

The whole thing is a sorry mess. I absolutely think that we must have a say in the final deal. But I'm concerned that that might leave us with a no-deal situation.

Bearbehind · 08/10/2018 14:06

What is wrong with that is we could have done so without leaving the EU and all the repercussions that brings with it surfer

JellyBears · 08/10/2018 14:10

I love how it’s called the People’s vote lol .. the people who want to ignore a democratic Vote lol where we voted to leave!!

What morons

AnotherCareerThread · 08/10/2018 14:11

@surferjet

Ok fair enough, and is this on the belief that the majority of EU immigrants are costing the tax payer through the NHS and benefits?

This is a genuine question, im not trying to be pissy.

surferjet · 08/10/2018 14:14

No bear we couldn’t.
Do you really think the EU would have let us stop freedom of movement but keep everything else?
Do you honestly believe that?
If you do then you’re more deluded than I thought.

Bearbehind · 08/10/2018 14:16

It's not me who is deluded- We are not going to 'stop' FOM either within or outside of the EU.

It will only ever be restricted.

And the restrictions proposed now are, in reality, no more than we could of done whilst in the EU.

Bearbehind · 08/10/2018 14:17

Could 'have' done not 'of' - FFS!

FruitofAutumn · 08/10/2018 14:18

Beg to differ. In the 70s a working class man could afford to buy a house, run a car and have a sahm wife on his wages.Couldn't now

In the 70s a working class man could afford to buy a house, run a car and have a sahm wife on his wages.Couldn't now

And how will leaving the EU change that?

longwayoff · 08/10/2018 14:24

Btw brexiteers, the UK will be welcoming many more immigrants from Africa, India and China than at present. How's that going to go down with all of you? Can you see an anomaly there?

Mookatron · 08/10/2018 14:28

Everything about that post tells me the kind of man you are. You just want to go back to the time when white men were in charge - in fact the only people who mattered. That's why you voted leave, clearly. I can't believe someone could be thick enough to post that sentence on a forum mainly populated by women to be honest.

JellyBears · 08/10/2018 14:31

@longwayoff lol Why do you remoaners assume people who voted to leave are against immigration?

SilverySurfer · 08/10/2018 14:52

Not sure how much more pathetic this can get.

AnotherCareerThread after the referendum I spent countless hours giving my reasons for voting Leave but Remainers were never satisfied and I grew tired of their incessant, repetitive questions. I also came to realise that there is nothing any Leaver can say which will satisfy a Remainer so I stopped responding.

I think it's probably best to leave Remainers to their whining and bleating which, of course, achieves absolutely nothing but if it makes them happy .......

Mookatron · 08/10/2018 14:54

It's funny though because I keep hearing people say 'I explained after the first referendum and I won't again' and yet I have never seen a well-argued reason for leaving. Actually that's not quite true - I have heard one well-argued reason but I disagreed with it. If the whole thing was based on reasoned arguments with which I disagreed I'd be less livid about it.

lonelyplanetmum · 08/10/2018 15:26

Uh oh some one mentioned the glorious 1970's. So I always link to Nick Hedges at this point. His photos call the 1970s as they were for many but hey sure let's go back there.Splendid.

longwayoff · 08/10/2018 15:28

Well jelly, I dont know how other remainers came to that conclusion but I expect it had a lot to do with the fact that the majority of brexiteers I was unfortunate enough to hear, or read, couldn't shut up about immigration, how it was out of control, how unusual it was to hear English spoken on public transport, hearing refugees being described as cockroaches etc. Faux naif.

SilverySurfer · 08/10/2018 15:37

Not sure why it's funny Mookatron it happens to be the truth. Of course you disgreed with the argument you read because you have a wholly opposing view. Hence it's pointless explaining our reasons as we know the response will be 'I disagree with you'. Actually, to receive such a response would be welcome in contrast to some of the names and insults some of the other Leavers and I were subjected to when posting on the Brexit Board.

surferjet · 08/10/2018 15:45

Why do we keep bothering with these threads?
Every one is exactly the same!

I vow, here in front of the entire world, to never post on another brexit thread in my life!
< not that that’s a loss to anyone I know!

mostdays · 08/10/2018 15:51

Leavers seem a little rattled. I don't really understand why- if the will of the people is still to leave, what on earth do they have to fear from a fresh vote? Surely if everything the remain side says is utter tosh and the majority of the voting public are keen to press on and Brexit come what may, the People's Vote would confirm that?

Bearbehind · 08/10/2018 16:31

I vow, here in front of the entire world, to never post on another brexit thread in my life!

There's more chance of TM getting her 'cake and eat it' Brexit than you keeping to that surfer 😆
