Scrolling through the news and came across this.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/annalong-two-week-old-baby-county-down-northern-ireland-hospital-rape-a8570541.html

WTAF!? What the fuck is wrong with people, this is absolutely disgusting how can people do such things?? This breaks my heart so much. Poor innocent helpless babies/children, why, just WHY!

I was watching tv 'this morning' today... a interview came on about a man who had been looking at indecent images. He got a 2 year suspended sentence?? This is indirect ABUSE.. it's still ABUSE whether it's indirect or direct! A suspended sentence is a fucking joke Angry

This kind of crime needs a more severe punishment! Bring back capital punishment for these crimes! There are a lot of monsters in this world Sad

I just think in instances like this it can be made cheaper. You get found guilty of child abuse, you end your court trial in a body bag.

I'm a survivor of childhood SA & i can hand on heart state now that anybody put my kids through any of that shit they'd not need a court date (okay maybe for me)

Goldmandra · 05/10/2018 21:52

i couldn't give a shit how much it would cost, it's what they deserve

I think a whole lifetime in a prison with your peers knowing what you'd done and the prison officers not taking great care to keep you safe could be a lot worse than the death penalty.

It needs to be life that means life.

puzzledlady · 05/10/2018 21:53

This is why my country has the capital punishment - and I totally support it in cases like this. Fucking animal.

Goinggertrude · 05/10/2018 21:54

As someone who was raped as a child I can tell you right now. This country and it's systems for punishing those who sexually assault a child are woeful. I was sexually abused from the age of 5, raped at 11 and abused up to the age of 15 by the same perpetrator and he also abused two other females (one in my presence) and the police and CPS could not give a shiny shit. They (purposefully I think) screws up evidence gathering and he has gone on to have children of his own and his wife is a primary school teacher. Social care, GP's, Mental health services have also let him walk away scot free.

My friends husband (whilst not excusing him and he was definitely in the wrong) got 16 years for money laundering.

This country and it's attitude to women and children sickens me.

Pissedoffdotcom · 05/10/2018 21:55

Doesn't happen tho does it? They get segregated to the VP units & kept with their own kind. Which means they can regale each other with their sick stories.

If prison was harsh & the sentences decent then yep, a lifetime would be hell. But right now it can be quite cushty for some

iLoveSpaDays · 05/10/2018 21:55

@Pissedoffdotcom I'm very sorry, this must be a difficult thread for you.

I don't blame you, if anything happened to my dd I'd be locked up within minutes because of my actions!

iLoveSpaDays · 05/10/2018 21:57

Thank you ILoveSpaDays - i am now a very strong person & can talk about it, the effects etc & it no longer haunts me like it did. But it makes me slightly over cautious with my own kids & very much 'touch my kids ever & i will kick your ass' because that is something i would not wish on my enemy list - and i really hate some of the folk on that list

iLoveSpaDays · 05/10/2018 21:59

@Goinggertrude I'm so very sorry for what you went through.

Me too pissedoff I watch all three of my DC's like a hawk. I'm hyper vigilant, including family, and I don't trust anyone but myself to keep my children safe. Which is an awful way to live but true.

Easilyflattered · 05/10/2018 22:00

I'm assuming he'll be found mentally ill enough to be locked up indefinitely in a secure hospital, or he'll be in a prison where he'll be considered fair game for every psycho to take a pop at.

I have to assume this because otherwise it's so evil I can't bear the idea.

nicebitofquiche · 05/10/2018 22:01

I don't want men like that killed. I want them put in prison without protection. I don't want the other prisoners to kill them. Just torture them. Over and over again. For the rest of their lives. So they wish they were dead.

CrazyAllAroundMe · 05/10/2018 22:02

Actually feel sick. I think a lot of this reporting and news just gives potential sickos new ideas it scares me. There just seems so much of it. I live 3 doors from a pervert who pleaded guilty to 100s of images. He got put on a course!! Disgusting. I wish the pig would move. His wife stayed with him the sick bitch.

Pissedoffdotcom · 05/10/2018 22:02

Goinggertrude yep it really is an awful way to live.

I hope this sick monster gets put somewhere where he gets a beating every day for the rest of his life. Sadly i know it won't happen

iLoveSpaDays · 05/10/2018 22:03

@nicebitofquiche but like a pp said they get sectioned off into another wing for protection Angry

WhateverHappenedToTheHeatwave · 05/10/2018 22:04

This shitbag deserves not to be breathing anymore. Sick fuck. Poor poor baby.

I hope the rest of the prison finds out what he is in for.

Pissedoffdotcom · 05/10/2018 22:04

If the choice was death penalty or prison - with prison being an actual punishment - it's a no brainer.
If the choice was death penalty or prison as it stands currently? Shoot em

Goinggertrude · 05/10/2018 22:05

Thanks ilove

I went into social work (probably directly because of this) and I'm dismayed at how systemic the attitude towards women and children is that they have to prove what happened. Only yesterday I was in a meeting and a male social worker, every time I spoke about one of my service users who has fled domestic abuse, interjected with 'alleged' every time I referred to the abuse. Infuriating and a very clear example of how little we think of people who have been abused. I nearly cried because it just summed up how huge the issue is.

Men putting 'alleged' in front of every digusting act and defending men being shits.

iLoveSpaDays · 05/10/2018 22:06

@CrazyAllAroundMe I think movies also give people ideas. I've never seen the movie.. "a Siberian film" but I've heard really bad things about that film. Why should things like that be put in films??

OP posts:
abbsisspartacus · 05/10/2018 22:08

"Alleged" i would respond with "proven"

hooveringhamabeads · 05/10/2018 22:09

The DS of one of my good friends is a junior doctor at that very hospital. Has really hit it home for me how awful and heartbreaking it must be for the medical professionals dealing with this kind of thing - obviously not trying to take anything away from the victim or her family. Just terrible :(

iLoveSpaDays · 05/10/2018 22:09

And then call him a cunt

OP posts:
WTBE · 05/10/2018 22:10

Honestly needs a bullet straight between the eyes. I'm not exactly a fan of the death penalty but I can see why some are, as my initial reaction is to want scum like this removed from society. Makes me sick.

Goinggertrude · 05/10/2018 22:10

It bloody was proven too abbsiss. The perpetrator lost his job (in the police) because of it. But he persisted with 'alleged'. Because he can.
