This is the 65,000 strong crowd at a Greenday gig singing along to Queen as the venue music played before bands came on.

There is something so, so beautiful about the sheer joy of the entire crowd joining in to sing together, when not a single performer is on stage. It as enough to make me weep.

Is it just me who thinks this is a beautiful moment? Am I just flooded with new baby joy and hormones? Grin

My go to is when the cast of colour purple did prince purple rain. Cynthia Erivo is just sublime

Cynthia is also on the greatest showman workshops which ‘this is me’ is more powerful than the movie.

Song is so powerful

I'm not a Hibs fan, but the crowd at Easter Road singing Sunshine on Leith makes me cry

MadisonAvenue · 25/09/2018 20:33

I was on a train once coming back from a football match with my son and the carriage was full of supporters.

In the aisle, coming along behind us, I heard someone singing Is This The Way To Amarillo. I thought it was a drunk but no, it was the conductor and he managed to get the whole carriage singing along.
It was amazing and so unexpected, and I emailed the train company to commend him.

Glad it's not just me who loves Haka Knit Grin.

I love listening and singing (badly) to this version of Radiohead's Creep by Scala and Kolacny Brothers choir.

Gosh yes, I get full goosebumps at that, I did just thinking of it then.

These are just wonderful.

I especially love the classical musicians, there’s something so uplifting and inspirational about their joy in sharing their talents and the music with the public.

I really feel that music is something that unites people. I’m not remotely musical and envy those that are but I love singing and I think sharing a musical experience is one of those moments in life that helps you see the good in the world.

BringOnTheScience · 25/09/2018 20:45

I was there too!!! It was every bit as wonderful as you could possibly imagine. Definitely a moment to treasure. Smile

ineedtostopbeingsolazy · 25/09/2018 20:59

That's fabulous!

KnitFastDieWarm · 25/09/2018 21:20

Ooh flower of Scotland at Murrayfield makes me weep every time, it’s magical

Silverstreaks · 25/09/2018 21:27

The power in a crowd singing is definitely a tear jerker for me. Mind you the joy of fireworks make me weep to.
Happy crying.

JustBeingJobless · 25/09/2018 21:38

I was also there with my then 11yo ds at his first gig (he is Green Day obsessed) and it was an amazing atmosphere.

WaitwithS · 25/09/2018 21:42

I was there too Smile it was the one year anniversary of my baby son’s death and during those moments I just stood with tears pouring down my cheeks but smiling too. Sorry I didn’t mean to get so heavy - it brings back very special memories, it was very poignant Smile

MrsGrindah · 25/09/2018 21:49

Ooh place marking cos i need some good stuff to cry to

Fromage · 25/09/2018 22:28

Thank you for posting that Gulag.

Bohemian Rhapsody should be the national anthem. The Queen is 90-something, I think we have established that she has been saved.

Rollonweekend · 26/09/2018 00:17

wow OP thanks for posting that was pretty amazing !!!

Rollonweekend · 26/09/2018 00:19

@WaitwithS I"m so sorry. That must have been really emotional. Hugs to you.

AjasLipstick · 26/09/2018 00:55

It's the song...I swear it. I was at a dirty old pub one night in Camden. A proper, old fashioned, local pub. And there was a Karaoke night and the man put this on and the whole pub sang it together...we were all standing on tables and the bar and the JOY! I'll always remember the face of the Karaoke host at the peak of the song...he had such happiness on it. Definitely one of my best nights ever.

creamcheeseandlox · 26/09/2018 06:40

Slightly different but this version of toto Africa is fabulous. Especially the sound effects at the start. One of my favourite songs ever. Don't know how to link properly.

creamcheeseandlox · 26/09/2018 06:41

Oh it did work...enjoy.

PurpleMac · 26/09/2018 09:14

Really enjoyed that op thanks! Star

PerkingFaintly · 26/09/2018 10:44

Didn't think I'd hear a version of "Hallelujah" to rival Jeff Buckley's, but Soweto Gospel Choir full on take it and run with it.

Havaina · 26/09/2018 11:56

Why on earth was OP's response to @Racecardriver deleted?

@Racecardriver you actually reported her comment to MNHQ? That is so low.

Racecardriver · 26/09/2018 12:36

@Havania no, I never report posts unless they a spamy. What did she say?
