This is the 65,000 strong crowd at a Greenday gig singing along to Queen as the venue music played before bands came on.

There is something so, so beautiful about the sheer joy of the entire crowd joining in to sing together, when not a single performer is on stage. It as enough to make me weep.

Is it just me who thinks this is a beautiful moment? Am I just flooded with new baby joy and hormones? Grin

Oh I love this, so joyful Smile thank you for sharing!

Everyone suddenly burst out singing
Everyone suddenly burst out singing;
And I was filled with such delight
As prisoned birds must find in freedom,
Winging wildly across the white
Orchards and dark-green fields; on - on - and out of sight.

Everyone's voice was suddenly lifted;
And beauty came like the setting sun:
My heart was shaken with tears; and horror
Drifted away ... O, but Everyone
Was a bird; and the song was wordless; the singing will never be done.

ashtrayheart · 25/09/2018 18:46

I loved it!
And I love Queen - I'm going to see the Bohemian Rhapsody film with my dad when it comes out.
There's something really emotional about a crowd singing together Smile thanks for posting this x

PussGirl · 25/09/2018 18:46

plominoagain · 25/09/2018 18:49

Agentornika · 25/09/2018 18:52

Oh God the zombie one! Tears came out of nowhere

theSnuffster · 25/09/2018 18:54

A friend was there and posted a video, gave me goosebumps! Can't imagine how amazing it must have been to actually be there. Beautiful.

Scotsrule · 25/09/2018 18:55

Well thanks for that, I went, I viewed and emerged from the black hole that is you tube several hours later.....

Pop music on boomwhackers is where I ended up 😳

KnitFastDieWarm · 25/09/2018 18:56

Also this entire thread has delightfully reminded me that when I met my husband, he was in the act of drunkenly high-fiving a total stranger about how great Freddie Mercury was Grin I knew he was a keeper!

Lovelylovelyllamas · 25/09/2018 19:00

@bojolly Glad I’m not the only one reliving the olden days!!!!

MindatWork · 25/09/2018 19:00

I love this vid, thanks for sharing op!

My fave bit is around 2:40 when the guitar solo kicks in and you can here the crowd trying to sing along with it 😆🎸

PerkingFaintly · 25/09/2018 19:02

MadeinBelfast · 25/09/2018 19:03

That Zombie one is amazing. I love Queen and Freddie, 'In my Defence' always makes me cry. Thanks for the link Flowers

OneInAMillionYou · 25/09/2018 19:05

Thank you so much, Gulag

I hadn't seen this and thought it so beautiful, I had tears running down my cheeks.

The power of music is one of life's great gifts, enjoying it collectively is life enhancing.

PP who said Bohemian Rhapsody is in our DNA is SO right.

Perfect.

PowerPantsRule · 25/09/2018 19:05

I love how they all rock out !

Stopyourhavering64 · 25/09/2018 19:08

I was so very lucky to have seen Queen ( with Freddie ) at Ingilston, Edinburgh in 1982....it was my first ever concert and still one of the best concerts I've ever been to

InspectorIkmen · 25/09/2018 19:08

StrangeLookingParasite
Thank you for saying that to the race car person.
There’s plenty twattery on MN esp AIBU but that was a new shitty low.
What sort of a joy-sucking shitbag would do that on a nice thread is just beyond me.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 19:13

Llamas

That is lovely - I'm weeping here! What a great boss she must have been.

There are such lovely posts here. Like OP I've been having a glum time lately and this has done me the world of good - thank you everybody.

HemanOrSheRa · 25/09/2018 19:15

Oh that is magical Smile. I've watched all the clips linked and they are all fantastic.

Not quite the same - but the Haka always makes me feel emotional too.

MrsMozart · 25/09/2018 19:16

Bloody brilliant OP! Thank you.

And thank you to the others who've shared clips.

OneInAMillionYou · 25/09/2018 19:19

Imagine being that DG! To think you were so admired as a leader that your staff did that for you!

Bet the next incumbent watched it and felt like withdrawing their application! 😀 how could they follow that!

HashTagLil · 25/09/2018 19:19

OP, I've previously watched it at least a dozen times. It's amazing!
