to think this is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen?

This is the 65,000 strong crowd at a Greenday gig singing along to Queen as the venue music played before bands came on.

There is something so, so beautiful about the sheer joy of the entire crowd joining in to sing together, when not a single performer is on stage. It as enough to make me weep.

Is it just me who thinks this is a beautiful moment? Am I just flooded with new baby joy and hormones? Grin

@GulagMilkMonitor... Beautiful! Thank you for sharing those good feelings and 'togetherness'. Not enough in this world IMO. Flowers

Funsponge, whoever you are, leave it.

SadieLancaster · 25/09/2018 17:16

Thank you for posting this Gulag.

Ignore the bloody Dementor 🙄

Things like this make me teary too. Choirs... flashmobs... they make your heart sing 🎵

whymewhyme · 25/09/2018 17:17

Amazing!!!!!

JaneJeffer · 25/09/2018 17:17

Best not to mention Sun City then?

whymewhyme · 25/09/2018 17:17

Thank you for sharing that!

RonniePickering · 25/09/2018 17:20

Fuck the misery bags Gulag, says more about them Flowers

MissusGeneHunt · 25/09/2018 17:21

@SchadenfreudePersonified thank you as well. Another tricky day here, and that, along with OP's video, made me smile. Smile

Littlepond · 25/09/2018 17:21

I think there is something wonderful about the unity of people singing. All those from different backgrounds, beliefs, political leanings, all united by that one song. There isn’t much that brings people together and levels the playing field that way.

Incidentally I tried to start a singalong at a festival in the summer and I ended up singing alone. Thankfully i was drunk enough not to care. The shame!

SadieLancaster · 25/09/2018 17:22

Omg the Do Re Mi one!! See I’m weeping at that!! Aren’t humans fucking awesome sometimes??

How the hell do they organise and practice these things??

SleepingStandingUp · 25/09/2018 17:23

Not the same scale but something similar waiting for Noah and The Whale to come n stage at Wakeatock Festival about 5 years ago. Audience singing it nearly word perfect. Band came out on stage half way through. The audience didn't drop a beat, we sang til the end!! Band just stood there and waited. Was in a small festival tent so it's a bit like a musical bubble. It was very awesone

londonmummy1966 · 25/09/2018 17:24

Ignore the nonsense OP - I think human beings are meant to enjoy singing together. Someone told me recently that if left unconducted choirs, like crowds, will end up singing at a tempo that matches the human heartbeat.

shamalamalam · 25/09/2018 17:29

I saw Queen with Adam Lambert a few years ago

He started singing Bohemian Rhapsody and the whole crowd started singing along so he just stood and let the crowd sing it. Word perfect the whole way through - it was pretty cool

creamcheeseandlox · 25/09/2018 17:30

Love it. Bloody love queen. Love the head banging bit from Wayne's world. Such a tragic early death. I'm looking forward to the biopic coming out next month.

MontalbanoFan · 25/09/2018 17:35

Have tears in my eyes, Gulag, both for you and at the beauty of that clip. Thanks so much. Will share!

CassandraCross · 25/09/2018 17:35

Ignore @Racecardriver OP, people like them who cannot see or feel joy in the simple things in life and have to pull down those who can are not worth the time of day. Leave them to wallow alone in their spiteful pit of misery.

It was beautiful, spontaneous musical moments are uplifting and I agree with others about the flash mob choirs too.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/09/2018 17:37

I was at the national Eucharistic Congress in Liverpool the other week and 6000 people singing 'sweet sacrament divine' was absolutely spine tingling.

Givemeallyourcucumber · 25/09/2018 17:40

That was brilliant. Thanks OP. I love the joy of singing. I sing in a choir and it brings so much joy and love to my life. I have a few YouTube favourites... Lion king cast singing on a plane and the sound of music flash dance! I also LOVE dancing! Grin

wizzywig · 25/09/2018 17:41

Will you scream and cry?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 25/09/2018 17:42

Have just been watching a few of these and now have gone from being as miserable as sin to having a face that's aching from smiling so much!

Though I do wonder if Antwerp Central Station has any passengers, or if it is just a venue for flashmobs? Grin

JustfiedandAncient · 25/09/2018 17:42

This gave me goosebumps.

Racecardriver · 25/09/2018 17:43

Sorry, I thought this was a lighthearted thread, didn't realise you were serious. Nothing wrong with it. I enjoy singing along at the occasional rock concert myself but i just assumed you meant it in a it's not hopelessly lame that I like this kind of way, my response was a jokey response to that. No need to take it personally. Carry on.

spiderlight · 25/09/2018 17:44

That is very, very cool, OP - loved it! Sorry you're having such a hard time lately. Ignore the horrible comment above - some people just love to piss on your chips Confused

ApplestheHare · 25/09/2018 17:44

OP thank you so much for this thread. That video gave me the shivers ❤
