To think a second Brexit referendum will not happen

I am a remainer, but people campaigning for a second Referendum are wasting their time. It is not going to happen.

I believe it was a Ch 4 news item, which focused on minimising home visits though technology but my ex in Stockholm has sent me this.

Surfer I agree with you on the mainly white immigration from within the eu.

This is the bizzare thing about seizing on small hard core within leavers cohort. Even nf on news the other day said he banned any bf bnp from ukip.

The more interesting reading I did on this was that UK minority groups found some Eastern Europe's quite racist and sexist. Due to communism there wasn't much flow of immigrations to those countries...
This is playing out now with orban in Hungary etc. UK minority groups (some members) felt scared by the right wing across eu rising and rasicm. Uk is actually a pretty forward thinking inclusive country.

Also UK minority groups didn't want jobs taken by cheap eu labour.

Places like Rotherham nearly had race riots between minority groups and newly arrived Eastern Europeans.

Many people do see the eu as the great white fortress.
So I really don't think it's so easy to keep pointing racist finger at leavers. It's ignorant and lazy but also really patronising.

True, but it's also incorrect and lazy for leavers to point the finger at the EU - it's UK govt policies that allowed unchecked immigration
