Get the mr muscle spray on foam. It's the best thing I've found.

abbsisspartacus · 07/09/2018 14:11

Glass scraper for the door

You can get cleaning kits with the bag to soak the shelves in from poundland

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/09/2018 14:11

one of these bloody amazing things and a heavy duty oven cleaner

MissusGeneHunt · 07/09/2018 14:11

OP I hope you get some answers as I need them too!! Have tried the shelves in a bag product but the actual oven cleaning isn't as good as it could be...help too please!!!

Oven pride kit

MissusGeneHunt · 07/09/2018 14:12

Oooh @IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece... Thank you!!

Beechview · 07/09/2018 14:13

Oven pride is amazing though you can’t use it on the door.

AdoraBell · 07/09/2018 14:13

Place marking, my oven is currently bloody grim 🤢 Blush

TheEmmaDilemma · 07/09/2018 14:14

Bio washing powder in the bath to soak the trays/shelves. Works wonders.

I then use a whole oven pride on the inside and wait. It's messy and crappy, but it tends to do the job.

Bio would work on the glass too. Paste type mixture in hot water.

chipsandgin · 07/09/2018 14:15

Watching with interest..

I bought this a while ago:
www.lakeland.co.uk/4972/Oven-Mate-Oven-Cleaning-Gel-500ml-Brush-and-Gloves-Cleaning-Kit

(but can confirm it does not work if you leave it unused in the cupboard under the sink and ignore your filthy oven)

UterusUterusGhali · 07/09/2018 14:16

I read on here once you can use a dishwasher tab on the oven doors. Wet it and use it like a scourer. The chalky type, obviously. Not a gel one Grin

ghostyslovesheets · 07/09/2018 14:17

Poundland over cleaning kit

Littlebluebird123 · 07/09/2018 14:18

I find the door easier to clean if it's slightly warm. So either after dinner (if I remember ) or put it on low for 5 minutes. Then I use fairy on it and a scrubber.

longwayoff · 07/09/2018 14:18

The Lakeland stuff is FANTASTIC. Paint it on. Wash it off. Sparkle. No effort at all.

PestoSurfissimos · 07/09/2018 14:21

Another vote here for the Lakeland kit

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 07/09/2018 14:22

I use the scraper (honestly, it’s so fucking satisfying!) then use the cleaning stuff afterwards (and weirdly, I find it easier when cold!). That Lakeland gel is fantastic

Vitalogy · 07/09/2018 14:23

A non scratch scourer with a cream cleaner like Cif, although I have the Tesco Essentials cream cleaner which works fine too.

aperolspritzplease · 07/09/2018 14:23

When it's clean get the oven liner mats from Lakeland. They're great no more scraping burnt bits just shove the liner in the bin.

Knittedfairies · 07/09/2018 14:24

The Lakeland stuff is very very good. It doesn’t make your eyes water and your throat burn with the smell either. Well-worth the money.

Tartsamazeballs · 07/09/2018 14:24

Professional oven cleaners are amazing. I use oven wizards, £60 and a cup of tea for a brand new looking oven

PestoSurfissimos · 07/09/2018 14:25

No need to bin the liner Aperol it washes beautifully in warm soapy water. It can be used time & time again. No need to replace it. Smile

agedknees · 07/09/2018 14:26

Take shelves out. Put on hot wash in the dishwasher. Afterwards clean with wire wool.

If and wire wool for the glass door.

Mr muscle oven cleaner and hard work for the rest.

agedknees · 07/09/2018 14:26

Should read cif.

PestoSurfissimos · 07/09/2018 14:27

No need for muscle power with the Lakeland stuff. Paint it on, leave it, wipe off -

LimboLuna · 07/09/2018 14:29

Wilko do a cheap oven cleaner kit with a bag and liquid. You leave it over night, its amazing. Its £1 or £2. But it only does the things you can put in the bag, can you remove the glass?

The door i just get a good scrubber and use the liquid that you put in the bag,

I had a person come out once and they were shit absolute waste of money.
