Can't get closer
It's in alcove in kitchen where we keep Hoover and stuff
I've been doing the recycling
It is messy and I am bricking it
Does it bite

Does it move? is it some kind of mutant dead bee?

SmellMyBeads · 31/08/2018 14:06

Little bat or a moth. Can't see very well, on a jittery jolty train.

It looks cute. Get a cage and keep it as a pet.

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:07

It's wobbling around on the wall
I am starting to wonder if it is a moth

A bat? Moth? Can't really tell, the pic isn't really very clear.

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:07

It's not a bat. I would keep it for myself if it was.
It could sleep in my bed

mrsstewpot · 31/08/2018 14:08

That's a bat.

JumblieGirl · 31/08/2018 14:08

Moth

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:08

Omg I think it's a mouldy strawberry
I wouldn't have seen it because of all of junk normally in that corner

Looks like a bat.

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:09

No it's moving
It's the size of like a date or smaller
I don't know if bats are that small

JumblieGirl · 31/08/2018 14:11

Put a glass over it, and a card under it and have a look.

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:11

No chance am I putting my hand near it

OP posts:
nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:11

Hopefully it won't fly off and will wait there until my husband comes to save me.

Looks like a bat from the pic.

Ignoramusgiganticus · 31/08/2018 14:13

A mouldy strawberry doesn't move and anyway it looks like it has legs - BIG LEGS.

Rebecca36 · 31/08/2018 14:13

Why don't you just knock it off into a jar or cup and have a closer look?
If it is alive you could liberate it in the garden.

beeefcake · 31/08/2018 14:13

It looks like a bat or some type of larvae/nest thing maybe? I do hope you don't have an army of insects erupt out of it.

You are braver than me.

beeefcake · 31/08/2018 14:15

It also looks like there is a stain on the wallpaper surrounding it!!!!! Could it be a snail???

SpunBodgeSquarepants · 31/08/2018 14:16

Are you sure it's moving?? Not just your imagination? It does look like a piece of lint or something

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:21

I think it's mouldy fruit

Not going to risk it

Big bad D can remove it when he returns from work

OP posts:
soupforbrains · 31/08/2018 14:23

I want to know what this turns out to be.

When you DH rescues you/it can you make sure you get a better photo before you dispose of the fruit/release the poor creature?

DontCallMeCharlotte · 31/08/2018 14:24

" It's not a bat. I would keep it for myself if it was.

Possibly the sweetest thing I've ever read on MN Smile

GraceMarks · 31/08/2018 14:24

I don't think it's a bat. And a moth would probably be flatter against the wall if that makes sense. I would say perhaps it's a chrysalis or a pupa which is on the verge of "hatching", if it's moving.

dollydelightful · 31/08/2018 14:25

There is no way I could leave this - imagine if it escapes to roam your house, I'd never sleep again!!!

MyFamilyAndOtherAnimals1 · 31/08/2018 14:26

Aww, I was thinking the same, DontCall Smile
