Can't get closer
It's in alcove in kitchen where we keep Hoover and stuff
I've been doing the recycling
It is messy and I am bricking it
Does it bite

It looks like a shield bug to me though picture isn’t clear. Glass and card and put in garden. Job done.

HeckyPeck · 31/08/2018 14:37

So cute!!

picklemepopcorn · 31/08/2018 14:37

Definitely something already squashed- look at the stain around it!

Wis( it had been a bat though. Bat on a strawberry is very optimistic, OP!

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:38

I'm going in to check

If I don't come back I died on this mission for you women...

Wait, I don't want it to be a bug.
What is a shield bug

HopeGarden · 31/08/2018 14:38

It's a strawberry

Just as well you didn’t ring the bat helpline Grin Grin Grin

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:39

twilightcafe · 31/08/2018 14:39

Aww! I so wanted it to be a bat.

DMCWelshCakes · 31/08/2018 14:40

Maybe it's a baby fruit bat.

longwayoff · 31/08/2018 14:42

That could be a recently emerged moth, not the kind that eats clothes. Leave it for a couple of hours and it should become more recognisable then flutter off.

kaytee87 · 31/08/2018 14:42

Omg does that baby bat have a dummy??? Awwww I think I'm broody! Is that possible over a bat picture? I mean I know I can't pregnant with a bat obviously.

GraceMarks · 31/08/2018 14:42

Bats don't have long thin legs like that, though! I thought that was just the pattern on the wallpaper myself. So is it definitely a strawberry then?

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:42

GrinBlush

I've uploaded too many photos
I'll show you the mouldy strawberry tomorrow

Time to go continue cleaning

Thank you everyone this has made me smile

longwayoff · 31/08/2018 14:42

Not shield bug. Not vine weevil.

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:43

Kaytee, imagine if you had a baby bat

I am broody too. Must be the eyes.

OP posts:
kaytee87 · 31/08/2018 14:44

Grin that would be one baby I wouldn't attempt to breastfeed!

nhssecretary · 31/08/2018 14:45

Really, get a largish glass and a stiff bit of card like a postcard, put the glass over it on the wall, slide the card under the glass and - let's pretend it's a mini-bat or a tired bee - thus trapping the BatBee in the glass. Carry the trap carefull to a counter or table and put the shebang down, card down. Never look at it again, or at least don't look until dh gets home and can take over.

It is possible to become quite fond of these things, you know.

Jux · 31/08/2018 14:51

And yet again Jux fails to refresh her page and makes an idiot of herself Grin
