Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

I've never actually smelled Zoflora. I may have to go out and see what the hype is for myself lol.
I'll start off with one tiny bottle to see if I actually think it smells lovely or like your old granny's living room or something Grin

PaddysMarket · 20/09/2018 22:40

Stay away from the Lavender Zoflora, best ones are LemonZing, Twilight Garden and Pink Grapefruit Grin.

Thanks Paddysmarket, will keep that in mind! Mental note no lavender lol. The array of different ones are baffling, there's so many to choose from Grin

PaddysMarket · 20/09/2018 22:47

I watched her live story from last night and she said she was at the hospital for tests as her health hadn't been that great.

squiz81 · 20/09/2018 22:48

@rainbowsandsmiles good luck finding some, everywhere has been cleaned out (pardon the pun)

I do own some zoflora and it does come out when we have a sickness bug in the house. In day to day life there is no need to be chucking disinfectant over everything.

People just pouring it down the sink is madness. Why do you need the inside of your sink waste pipe to be disinfected? Plus water at 82 degrees is a disinfectant. Just pour some boiling water down your sink. Buy some cut flowers if you want your house to smell fragrant.

My one other criticism of her is the amount of product she uses. You need a small blob of CIF she uses so much!

I saw a video of her opening Savers today. It all looked a bit awkward. Feel sorry for her if she felt obliged to do that if she's poorly enough to go into hospital.

NigelGresley · 20/09/2018 22:56

I was just about to post almost exactly what squiz has just said. There’s no need for such liberal use of strong disinfectants. It’s really unhealthy. I have some in the cupboard for emergencies like sickness, but I don’t think it was ever intended as a regular cleaning product.

Research has suggested that regular use of these products can lead to lung disease. Many people with COPD or other similar lung diseases have no obvious cause like smoking, but there is something in the environment that has triggered it.

WhatsGoingOnEh · 20/09/2018 22:57

Mrs Hinch's latest updates say she's in hospital, and then being moved to another hospital to have a "little procedure". The poor thing!

I feel awful; I'd assumed she'd gone quiet on Insta because she was negotiating multi-million advertising sponsorships, and felt (selfishly) annoyed that it had stopped her cleaning! I even suspected her "flu" might be a cover story for tough negotiations at Flash HQ. But I think she's genuinely poorly.

How awful - to be enjoying the very first glimpse of fame and TV stardom, then flattened by illness.

In her honour, I have scrubbed my kitchen with Cif, disinfected the loos, put my sink to bed and mopped every floor. I think it's what she would've wanted.

I suffer with anxiety and I find cleaning gives my brain a break haha have to admit I’m also a zoflora addict. Neither are inspired by Mrs Hinch although I’ve looked on her Instagram and seen a couple of helpful tips. I suppose everyone is different, some people love to clean and some are happy doing a normal amount. I don’t think there’s any issue either way though.

thiskitten · 21/09/2018 00:21

ynbu - I love zoflora as much as the next person but who balances a tray with glassware and (very obviously faux) flowers on the end of a bed????
Mixing zoflora and bleach to make an exploding toilet is one thing but A VASE - ON A BED?? This is literal madness.

Mrs hinch
rainbowsandsmiles · 21/09/2018 00:36

Yeah, you do know she'll have put the tray on the bed to make a lovely picture, right? Grin Which it is.
I doubt she'll have gone to sleep with a vase at the end of her bed lol.

NigelGresley · 21/09/2018 08:10

She sprays the bed with lenor??? ConfusedConfusedConfused barmy

NigelGresley · 21/09/2018 08:12

Does she wear a respirator while she does that?

dawn96 · 21/09/2018 09:05

My comments are to the people saying she absolutely can’t get her house looking like that ,She absolutely must have got somebody in ,She must neglect her kids and all the rest of it saying it isn’t possible to have a clean house when you’re busy ,My comments aren’t too people who don’t feel like cleaning I don’t care if people have messy houses at all I’m not a snob ,My illness makes me want to clean more some peoples makes them clean less I understand that but I don’t understand the comments implying that it’s not feasible to keep on top of everything when you have other things going on or that some how you have no life or that you’re neglecting your children and saying that you must pay someone if your house looks that way

dawn96 · 21/09/2018 09:10

My Daughter loves to help me do chores it’s not like they’re sat in a box till you’re done I don’t understand what people really think goes on in a clean home ,I wake up do an hours chores sit eat my breakfast play then half an hour at lunch and then and hour after dinner it doesn’t ever take me that long I just set a timer so I don’t get carried away and then after my daughters in bed I clean up anything else that keeps my house really lovely and it’s about 10% of the day ,It’s not a big deal at all people spend longer watching TV ! Not neglectful not impossible ,very realistic actually

CaptainCorrigan · 21/09/2018 09:51

She doesn't have kids

tamzinro · 21/09/2018 09:51

@dawn96 it's impossible with 3 kids and a full time job as a single parent love .

Someone on a group I'm in has been hospitalised after watching this woman. She already had issues with over cleaning and said there were so many hints and tips she didn't know. Ended up with chemical poisoning or something. Dread to think what effect it would have on the kids in the house, far too many strong dangerous chemicals.

Oh my goodness, hope she is ok. It's really quite worrying.

oldgimmer78 · 21/09/2018 10:27

I follow quite a few of the cleaning accounts I haven't been inspired to clean yet though and it is very worrying the amount of disinfectant that is being used multiple times a day. It is a very generous dose as well, way above the recommended guidelines. One of them captions 'a quick squirt of toilet Duck' and proceeds to empty half of the bottle down the toilet, then add those gel stripe things AND the foaming Bloo thing.

Ellapaella · 21/09/2018 10:30

@TrashPanda I got a bit obsessed with using zoflora after discovering it here on mumsnet. But some of the fragrances made me wheeze (never had asthma in my life) and one of my dc got a flare up of eczema at the same time. My DH is a doctor and is convinced it was the zoflora. I don't use it at all now and we've all been fine. Nasty stuff imo.
