Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

@Lollypop27 ha was just coming to say the same thing re washing. Can't imagine her clothes are that dirty she needs all those chemicals!

And all the products she uses are so fake chemical smells too. House would give me a headache!

totallyliterally · 27/08/2018 21:45

Just watched toilet cleaning. I'm sure you shouldn't mix toilet cleaner, zoflora and some other cleaning powder down the toilet and leave over night. Shock

totallyliterally · 27/08/2018 21:53

Ah. And all the undisclosed affiliate links!

Right I must stop watching now Grin

Lollypop27 · 28/08/2018 08:33

@totallyliterally you’re right you shouldn’t mix products. The organised mum did a big thing about it last week. I’m surprised her toilet hasn’t exploded!

I don’t know enough about fabrics but surely spraying curtains and fabrics with zoflora make them flammable?

Rosegoldlilly · 28/08/2018 08:38

There was a massive thing of zoflora addicts on fb about not mixing bi carb and zoflora and then putting it on your sofa/carpets after she had done this. Mrs hinch did say she was reading the comments and it was at her own discrection that she done it. But you're right zoflora is highly flammable especially neat so not a safe tip.
Anyway I weren't being nasty I'm just saying it's a little too much. It's MN so everyone can have an opinion. Yea it's good she's helping people too not saying that part is bad.

Sorry just read through comments. I'm not saying parents neglect their children because of cleaning. I was saying if you watched her videos of cleaning it's alot and a high standard so most parents prob wouldn't have time. She seems childless though so has more time

i can't see any videos? do you have to have an instagram account to watch? i can only see photos.

treaclesoda · 28/08/2018 09:10

Mixing cleaning products is insanity. But people who do it refuse to believe that it's dangerous. Hmm

I think Zoflora is only flammable when it's neat. When you dilute it properly, it's fine.

Nanny0gg · 28/08/2018 09:16

A clean house means an empty life. Too busy for all that shit

Or too lazy...

Thehop · 28/08/2018 09:24

I have 2 jobs and 4 kids but can’t sit still if things aren’t clean. I tend to do toilets at least 2 times a day.....it’s just my thing. We don’t have babysitters so once the kids are in bed that’s my hobby 😂

I like Mrs hinch

firehousedog1 · 28/08/2018 10:22

All the cleaning instas seem obsessed with that bloo foamy powder down their toilets. I don't even need to try it to know that stuff is literally just pouring your money down the toilet.

Guacamole2506 · 28/08/2018 12:13

I really used to like her until zoflora addicts posted about the safety warning of using undiluted zoflora and bicarbonate soda in your carpets/mattress, she put a statement on her Instagram basically saying that she will continue to do this still. Making your home a fire hazard is so dangerous and she is still ‘promoting’ this idea to her followers.

fraxwuua · 28/08/2018 17:12

I'm sure you're all grown ups so can be making your own decision about whether you use certain products in your home or not.

As for having a clean home-that's also each persons decision. You wanna live in squalor then that's up to you.

Why is someone who was just showing off her home that SHE loves, and that she loves to clean, being berated on here?

People baffle me with their weird opinions on stuff that shouldn't even enter their minds (if they were more focused on their own lives)....

WooYa · 28/08/2018 17:19

I prefer The Organised Mum... she's nicer and isn't trying to blow people up (with Zoflora) Grin

BigCarrot · 28/08/2018 19:09

I first watched her stories last night after seeing her name everywhere and was horrified at the amount of products she uses! I thought she was quite funny but I'm not really sure why people are now bankrupting themselves buying hoards of products for the sake of it. I'd be concerned for those with kids copying her methods as the amount of different chemicals surely isn't good for you. Also I don't get the entirely grey house. I prefer littlemissmops, she actually does it for a living and is a miracle worker, she's down to earth and doesn't seem to use 100s of different products and doesn't post a load of affiliate links

BibiThree · 28/08/2018 22:08

What annoys me is the amount of plastic bottles she gets through and that she flushes the bathroom wipes. Environmentally she's awful. And her house must stink of all those heavily perfumed, clashing smells.
I love a bit of Zoflora, but only to mop the floors. Can't imagine spraying it on my bed.

Rosegoldlilly · 28/08/2018 22:15

So does she get paid for doing it by sponsers? I thought it was just for fun?

OP posts:
Thebasicweegie · 29/08/2018 11:28

I personally really like her. I think she's funny and down to earth (unlike a lot of these other home accounts) and she's give me the kick up the arse I needed to keep my flat clean and tidy. Well as tidy as it can be with a 2 year old destroying the place every half an hour!

BibiThree · 29/08/2018 11:29

No idea. I don't know how the swipe ups work.
The stock piling of cleaning stuff is a bit daft. Buy one, use it, buy another, surely? I don't have the space to stock pile anything.

Flowerfae · 29/08/2018 13:09

Maybe she doesn't live in it, it could be a show-house so she can make money endorsing products via Instagram

Shepherd88 · 29/08/2018 13:44

I liked her to begin with but it's the attitude regarding the zoflora and bicarb that has made me unfollow her. All she had to do was hold her hands up and admit she was wrong. Regardless of what she chooses to believe, with 50K followers she is an influencer, and therefore has a responsibility to ensure the 'tips' she's giving regarding cleaning are safe! Instead she's chosen to show her shitty personality and make a joke out of the accounts that are trying to spread the word in regards to being safe around cleaning products. Because you know, people getting burnt, inhaling chemicals and mattresses going up in flames are hilarious thoughts! 🙄

BigCarrot · 29/08/2018 15:00

Agree with PP. Some of her videos are shocking, mixing 4 different products in a toilet is dangerous and although I can see that, there are probably followers (probably the ones stockpiling) that will copy it yet she's acted so shitty and irresponsible about it. Zoflora is obviously potent hence the 1 in 40 mix, that's why it smells so strong as it's highly concentrated. Anything that smells that strong isn't meant to be breathed in 24/7.

She's not really cleaning, just coating her house in chemicals. My nostrils hurt thinking about it.

Also she never cleans under anything! Fills the toilet with all those products but can't be bothered to clean under the seat?

bluemascara · 29/08/2018 16:52

She's put a disclaimer of sorts up today...
you're right, she just covers surfaces in chemicals, I've not actually seen her make something which was dirty and messy, clean and tidy.

There was a woman maybe 2 years ago who died from inhaling the fumes when she mixed 2 cleaning products in a mop bucket. Can't remember exactly what it was... maybe bleach and something else.

Hinchy if you are reading this OP I'm not looking at you I promise 😂---- then reconsider these combos otherwise you could find yourself with a law suit on your hands

Rosegoldlilly · 29/08/2018 18:42

Omg 😂 i swear I'm not her haha! I've said I don't think her mixing chemicals is a great idea! Very dangerous
