Don't get me wrong she seems like a lovely lady and does have some useful tips but AIBU to think she cleans alot and often. As a single mum I don't hardly have anytime during the day to do this amount of cleaning! Now it's making me feel bad that I don't clean this much 😂

Who's Mrs hinch?

Rosegoldlilly · 24/08/2018 21:51

New Instagram sensation. She gives tips on how to have a shiny clean house. Also uses alot of flammable zoflora on every single thing. Makes me feel a bit nervous! 😂

Hmm yabu to care enough about it to make a ppst. Also U to assume everyone else would just know what you're on about, much less care.

Singlenotsingle · 24/08/2018 21:58

A clean house means an empty life. Too busy for all that shit Confused

bluemascara · 24/08/2018 22:06

She cleans things that are already clean 🤷‍♀️

AnneLovesGilbert · 24/08/2018 22:08

People who enjoy cleaning are deeply suspicious. Not sure what to think of people who watch others clean!

bluemascara · 24/08/2018 22:11

I wonder if the OP is mrs hinch. I've seen instagrammers start threads on here to get followers

Rosegoldlilly · 25/08/2018 07:28

Trust me I'm not her 😂
Don't get me wrong it's great to have a sparkly clean house but with a toddler hanging off my leg there's no way I can get it that tidy without neglecting the poor guy.
That's what I also thought, that she's now cleaning clean things. She's gonna have to start making things dirty on purpose now to clean for her Instagram.

OP posts:
pinklea2210 · 27/08/2018 09:41

Omg leave the poor woman alone she isnt harming anyone is she.....
Have you read the positive comments from people who she has helped who suffee with depression and anxiety by channeling it into something that for once they can contro? I really dont know why you have to be so negative? Hmm

treaclesoda · 27/08/2018 09:44

I've no idea who she is, but she sounds harmless enough.

I have always liked to keep my house clean and tidy, as do most people I know, and it's rather insulting to imply that we can only do this because we are neglecting our children and dedicating too much time to cleaning. Cleaning isn't exactly time consuming if you clean as you go along.

househunthappening · 27/08/2018 09:51

Why is everything so grey? It looks like she's used a black and white filter on every photo.

NonaGrey · 27/08/2018 09:57

You don’t have to do what people in the Internet tell you to (not even us).

Keep your house clean and tidy enough for physical and mental health (yours and your D.C.).

Where the line of “clean and tidy enough” sits will be different for each person.

Switch off Instagram, find your own line.

FloweringOrchid · 27/08/2018 10:09

I have never seen such a soulless home. You too can achieve this look by raiding every grey/silver homeware section in home bargains & b+m.

hungryhippo90 · 27/08/2018 10:19

Oh I love her

ToftheB · 27/08/2018 10:28

Woah, that house is terrifying. I’d much rather live in cheerful, colourful confusion than that sterile grey monstrosity!

pinklea2210 · 27/08/2018 10:58

Wow....

afreshnewname · 27/08/2018 11:53

What a boring account, her house looks lovely but it's basically picture after picture of the same kitchen cabinets & sofa 🙄

pinklea2210 · 27/08/2018 12:10

Don't watch her feed thenConfused

afreshnewname · 27/08/2018 12:20

I won't 👍🏼 thanks for the advice I wouldn't have thought of that

bluemascara · 27/08/2018 12:31

Her home does look very sterile and not lived in. I would love to have such a clean home! Far to busy lazy for that!
She doesn't appear to have any children... if she does in the future I'd bee keen to see her hints and tips!

Birdsgottafly · 27/08/2018 12:41

""A clean house means an empty life.""

It honestly doesn't. It doesn't take that long and there are times when you've got to let things slip, or might do because of illness etc, but once you are in the habit. Don't over buy, sort out your storage, then it never gets that bad. It depends on your circumstances and energy levels, as well, of course.

OP, I think these things are useful to just take what you can personally use and manage. It depends on how your children sleep etc.

I do the same with Marie Condo (ConMari). I don't follow it exactly because it doesn't suit me.

I had two children with additional needs and it was best for them for the house to be minimal, clean and organised, except for their toy storage, they were both into collecting.

Now they are Adults, but I have indoor Rabbits, so it's best if my house is minimal, except for the bunny playground that I set up.

But if your toddler doesn't sleep, which is when a lot of Parents clean, or some of it isn't worth doing because of Pets etc, then just take what is useful and ignore the rest.

As you would on nutrition, skin care, hobbies etc.

firehousedog1 · 27/08/2018 12:59

I followed her briefly and then unfollowed her. There seems to be a lot of arse licking around her account, both from her and her followers. I like one or two of the cleaning instas that give reviews on products and tips. Not the ones who use insta as some sort of window into their show homes.

pinklea2210 · 27/08/2018 17:24

I love how us women big each other up regardless of if we all like different thingsEnvy

Lollypop27 · 27/08/2018 21:21

A few people on my feed have mentioned her so I’ve been for a nose. Her house is immaculate. I’ve watched a few of her videos and I can see how she’s motivating people.

I do worry about the amount of chemicals though. 4 different products in a basic wash load? There’s just so many products being used I find it Confused
