Sex towel

Not really an AIBU but I wanted opinions on this.

A colleague of mine told me that she lays a towel down every time her and her husband have sex. She was pretty disgusted with me when I confessed that I don't undertake in such a practice, so I was wondering; am I doing this wrong?! Is a sex towel a thing??

Just for period sex here. There's no way of keeping blood off the sheets otherwise.
One time we were in a hotel - the usual fluffy white towels - by the time we'd finished it looked like a murder had taken place. So Blush

Strugglingtodomybest · 25/08/2018 15:39

I don't even know who's joking anymore....

Biscusting · 25/08/2018 15:51

I have been known to wipe the worst of the spunk off the sheets then blow dry it to avoid changing the sheets in the middle of the night though

Whaaaaat!!??? Surely that’s the passion killer right there? I’d rather sleep with the sex towel on my face than the hot, slightly crispy baked cum patch....but maybe that’s just me???

Biscusting · 25/08/2018 15:55

Agnes! I’m finished roll up the sex tarp and get the hairdryer, whilst I dunk my penis.

hungryhippo90 · 25/08/2018 16:01

It makes me want to ask if the towel is red for passion.

lindyloo57 · 25/08/2018 18:07

on holiday we use a towel, [ our own ] when we have sex on top of the bed covers,

OrangeFluff · 25/08/2018 18:25

The sex towel is for when I'm on my period, or for certain types of stimulation that cause more ahem liquid. Its nothing to do with the post-sex spunk drippage.

pollymere · 25/08/2018 18:42

Only during my period, if we think it's going to get messy. Otherwise no. Unless she uses lots of baby oil etc which is a bigger to get out of sheets.

Oldaintallthat · 25/08/2018 18:46

We have a tarpaulin

Change our bedding 3x per week anyway

Forget all this sex talk...who the hell changes their bedsheets three times a week?!

Awaywiththefairies1 · 25/08/2018 19:30

Just can't get the vision of a squirrel laying on a towel grinning and smoking a cigarette out of my head now!

No towel here, we're clearly quite gross, if it's a particularly messy occasion OH might be gentlemanly enough to chuck his pants over for me to mop up or I might waddle to the bathroom.

Amazon actually sells sex towels!

flowergrrl77 · 25/08/2018 20:13

@ReggaetonLente

She does this in one of the Judy Bloom books. I think because she’s a virgin? Maybe your colleague is too.

The boy did this for the girl to not worry she’d bleed on the carpet, as she was ‘on’

beeefcake · 25/08/2018 20:52

@Sarahandduck18 that's brilliant but wouldn't be any use to my colleague. She is after prevention rather than cure.

I use a towel if there’s lots of lube, toys, backdoor or light period. Upgrading to rubber sheets soon.....Grin

hiddeneverything · 25/08/2018 22:17

And logging on on a Saturday night to a certain Mumsnet classic!!!!

Now here's a question - what load of washing do you put the sex towel in with???

Canshopwillshop · 25/08/2018 22:43

Hidden - On a v hot wash with the bed sheets with poo crumbs/fanboys juice

Canshopwillshop · 25/08/2018 22:44

hiddeneverything · 25/08/2018 22:46

Canshopwillshop · 25/08/2018 22:49

PositivelyPERF · 25/08/2018 22:49

I’ve just read a couple of pages of this to my oldest boy (27), who always thinks Mumsnet is just for middle class feminists. His face! 😱My face. 🤣 I told him he couldn’t handle Mumsnet.

Canshopwillshop · 25/08/2018 22:51

Hidden - just taken from a comment on another thread where they are discussing wearing pants in bed.

Canshopwillshop · 25/08/2018 22:52

Hidden - to avoid poo crumbs obv, sorry to drip feed!

PositivelyPERF · 25/08/2018 23:00
