Sex towel

Not really an AIBU but I wanted opinions on this.

A colleague of mine told me that she lays a towel down every time her and her husband have sex. She was pretty disgusted with me when I confessed that I don't undertake in such a practice, so I was wondering; am I doing this wrong?! Is a sex towel a thing??

Sex towel only for periods, otherwise I go to the toilet or try and sleep on his side and move. My OH was puzzled why I put a towel down first until I bloody leaked.

DH and I used to have sex without the towel but I get very...excited. We are very much in favour of a sex towel nowadays - just keep it in arm's reach of the bed, and the living room isn't too far from the bathroom so we can use the towels in there if we're going to be more adventurous! We don't see it as a mood killer at all...but then again we do take a moment to wash beforehand as well.

I don't want to wash the sheets more than once a week and this system keeps the bed fresh!

Sex towel is for periods only here, apart from when I needed silver nitrate treatment and often bled a bit. Was glad to get back to normal though!

Washing together can be fun . Besides, I'm not overly keen to go to 3rd base unless I know we're clean! I'm happy to do everything but 3rd without a shower though.

Doesn't negatively affect our sex life - we do it 3 times a week

We've got a cerise pink sex towel for when we have period sex.. I also use it when I wash my hair, but I think I wash it in between uses.

if you are a squirter then having a towel laid down really isn't going to do much ... why not use waterproof sheet ? And period sex is bloody disgusting . Why not Have sex up the anus hole or just use clit stimulation at time of month instead?

We have a sheet with a hole in it that we cover me with and the holes is strategically placed.

What about puppy training pads or those wee sheet thingies surely that would mop up any excess fluids.

We tend to grab a couple of towels because I have discovered that when enjoying good sex I leave a very big puddle! They get dumped by the bed (the dog likes to lie on them ) and into the laundry basket the next morning.

Don't do period sex. My periods are a bloodbath without any help!
