I know there was a Dawson's Creek thread a little while back but I think this warrants its own rant. I'm watching on 4od, never got this far back in the day so am struggling to see it from an angsty teenage perspective, but have just seen the one where he finds out they've been snogging, and I just want to give him a good slapping. Sort yourself out lad! You split up over a year ago! And hardly because she broke his heart and waltzed off, he shopped her fucking dad to the police! He's a sanctimonious little dick!!

Yes, I’ve always thought this but I wasn’t a teenager when I watched it so I think maybe we have a different perspective. My ds watched it last summer and couldn’t believe how horrible they’d been to Dawson 😂

Oh the wall, bless him. Pacey sees Joey for the awesome human being she is and is lovely to her without expecting anything back, her being happy is his reward. Dawson on the other hand just sees everyone as bit players in his life and spits his dummy out when they don't play their parts right. Also, Pacey is well sexy

Also, wtf is Jen doing with Henry? He's not sweet and innocent, he's manipulative, obsessive and just plain creepy. She deserves so so much better. I'm really hoping that falling out they just had is permanent.

I just started watching last week can't remember anything from the first time round, I'm only 5 episodes in and Dawson is already annoying the crap out of me, spoilt little whiney git.

@PristineCondition it also has John Noble in Lots of weird science, alternate dimensions, etc etc in it. I binge it every year.

When I first started rewatching I actually had a lot more sympathy for Dawson than I had first time round, and less for Pacey - the Tamara storyline was a bit gross, he was basically being a randy little pest (and there does seem to be a recurring message in Dawson that you get the girl by wearing her down, but that's another thread). But Dawson becomes more boring and one-dimensional as it goes along, while Pacey is definitely maturing like a fine wine (I nearly wrote something to do with "ripening" and felt myself getting a bit warm. I'm going to be 40 next week ffs).

It's ok pigsknickers. Pacey turned 40 this year too.
