I simply care about the welfare of those being exploited for human tissue.

I would have loved to have been able to donate eggs to help another couple - straight or gay - to have a baby. My infertility issues are due to my uterus: my eggs were fine, and we know we made great embryos. I wasn't eligible to donate because of family medical history (and in retrospect it's for the best insofar as it would be emotionally difficult to know that a recipient had been successful with my eggs, but we hadn't been able to have a baby) - but conceptually (no pun intended) I would have been delighted to donate my eggs, freely and willingly

Would I have been exploited for human tissue? If so, in what way?

My friend has offered to be a surrogate for my husband and I - if we were to proceed (after counselling, physical and psychological evaluation and approval by the clinic's ethics committee), would that mean that she was being exploited for human tissue?

If a child is wanted and loved and all the parents/people involved (however you want to phrase it) are happy I don’t care how that child came into existence.
