Inspired by the "what the fuck have they done to chocolate?" thread where many of us are on a quest to find the best milk chocolate bar now that Cadbury's doesn't taste like Cadbury's, can I ask you to share your favourite chocolate bar (not literally Grin) and say what it is about it you like? Eg the texture, the smell, the flavour itself (nutty, milky, creamy, bitter etc), creaminess... however you would describe it.

(According to another thread the Brits are obsessed with chocolate so I'm happy to prove them right Grin).

Twirl. Tastes vaguely of hazelnuts.

Bounty. So moist and delicious.

PerverseConverse · 21/08/2018 22:50

I do love a Bounty (or two), and Maltesers from the freezer. I love my chocolate cold and Maltesers fresh out of the freezer are lovely.

Godiva chocolate hazelnut oyster bar. No horrid greasy waxy feeling from the chocolate. Lovely hazelnut smooth filling. Doesn't taste cheap.
Helsinki had lots of good chocolate bars when I was there. I'll have to move.
Stay away from the Green and Black's praline. Nasty wax crap. www.greenandblacks.co.uk/green-black-s-dark-chocolate-praline-box.html

MyYoniFromHull · 21/08/2018 22:52

Red bars of Lindor
Aldi chocolate is nice and chocolatey

Can't eat Dairy Milk anymore but I'll make an occasional exception for a Crunchie

ParkheadParadise · 21/08/2018 22:52

Wisps Gold or milkybar

Milkybar have got rid of the soya in their chocolate bars it now takes vaguely normal

Whoever bought the wispa gold back - genius

I wonder how long before Cadbury runs that

ShatnersBassoon · 21/08/2018 22:53

Dark Bounty from the fridge, or Aldi stuff that's nice and cracky and not greasy.

FissionChips · 21/08/2018 22:54

Lidl “fin carre” hazelnut chocolate. I like it because it’s packed with full hazelnuts and only about 70p.

LadyLoveYourWhat · 21/08/2018 22:54

My absolute favourite at the moment is Waitrose's pistachio, hazelnut and almond milk chocolate. It's really nutty - the nuts are chopped quite finely and there are loads of nutty bits spread evenly throughout the bar. There's a hint of a saltiness in there too. It's far too moreish. I also like the Lindt milk chocolate bar with big, whole hazelnuts in it. I've got a nut thing going on at the moment.

KimCheesePickle · 21/08/2018 22:55

Aldi cherry and chilli dark chocolate.

CripsSandwiches · 21/08/2018 22:56

Snickers with a cup of tea

or lindt with nuts YUM

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 21/08/2018 22:56

The red Lindor bars from the Lindt shop in Resorts World. I want to lick the whole shop and the staff.

stayathomer · 21/08/2018 22:56

I don't think you can beat the chocolate in Buttons!!! When I get them the older kids act like they're too old for them and I want to curl up in a corner and scoff them all!!!

MountDiogenes · 21/08/2018 22:56

Twirl

Polarbearflavour · 21/08/2018 22:56

Guylian chocolate sea shell bar. Or Dairy Milk but it has to be thin - like the fun-size ones. Tastes much better than the thick blocks!

ShitUsername · 21/08/2018 22:57

Lindor
Toblerone
Wispa Gold
kinder bueno

Boohissmiss · 21/08/2018 23:02

Double decker

MyYoniFromHull · 21/08/2018 23:06

Forgot my favourite this week, Dime bars. They've always been fab (crunchy on the inside...)

Needsleepneedsleep · 21/08/2018 23:07

Not a bar, but Ferrero Rocher....and more recently, Cadburys Freddos as they are the same as the original recipe. Also Lindor bars.

Used to love Wispa and Twirl but both are now horrible. Mars bars used to be great too.

AprilBaby29 · 21/08/2018 23:07

I love that Milka chocolate in the purple wrapper! Anytime I go abroad I bring back the massive bars from duty free, yummmm.

luckycat007 · 21/08/2018 23:07

Twix

Dahlietta · 21/08/2018 23:07

Wispa. Why did they ever try to get rid of those babies?

OutPinked · 21/08/2018 23:08

Honestly, none of the generic ones hit the spot now. The taste has drastically changed or maybe just my tastebuds have... I’m getting older now and really don’t enjoy any of it anymore.

My favourite is actually a vegan chocolate bar called veg-o. Available at Holland&Barrett, I could easily eat ten if they weren’t so expensive.

PerverseConverse · 21/08/2018 23:08

@Dahlietta Wispa is still widely available in the UK.
