Inspired by the "what the fuck have they done to chocolate?" thread where many of us are on a quest to find the best milk chocolate bar now that Cadbury's doesn't taste like Cadbury's, can I ask you to share your favourite chocolate bar (not literally Grin) and say what it is about it you like? Eg the texture, the smell, the flavour itself (nutty, milky, creamy, bitter etc), creaminess... however you would describe it.

(According to another thread the Brits are obsessed with chocolate so I'm happy to prove them right Grin).

Fry's Chocolate Cream
Fry's Peppermint Cream
(which you can still get)

Fry's 5 Centre Chocolate Cream
Fry's Orange Cream
(which you can no longer get)

Who remembers these beauties?

Jitters
I remember them fondly 😢

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 22/08/2018 20:35

Oh my goodness, Fry's five centre chocolate. I thought they were the height of luxury.

I used to love toffee crisp but they're not as good anymore. My top three are Bounty, Toblerone and Lindor red balls.

ACatsNoHelpWithThat · 22/08/2018 20:36
  • Most things from Hotel Chocolat but especially their Amaretto
sultanas
  • Twirls
  • Chocolate oranges (superb dunked in tea)
  • Toffifee (not chocolate but deserves an honourable mention

Ritter peppermint - like the biggest, fattest After Eight mint in the world

Green & Blacks butterscotch (I usually prefer dark chocolate, but this is delicious)

Willie's Cacao ginger & lime - well worth seeking out

Anything by Bonnat Chocolat - the nicest chocolate I have ever eaten

And recently I had a dark chocolate with roasted, salted almonds in, but can't remember who made it

WeeM · 22/08/2018 20:37

Marabou is amazing!

Also really into Moser Roth Aldi milk chocolate just now-really creamy bit like Lindt.

Wispa and giant choc buttons too

bluerunningshoes · 22/08/2018 20:38

DianaT1969 · 22/08/2018 20:48

Nothing by palm oil Cadbury's.

Oblomov18 · 22/08/2018 20:57

Picnic

Can't seem to find anything else I like atm.

lizzybennett1926 · 22/08/2018 20:57

Green and Blacks orange dark chocolate - delicious.
Am also partial to Ritter Peppermint filled.

DroningOn · 22/08/2018 21:04

Yorkie, I like the slightly granier texture over Cadbury

EnormousDormouse · 22/08/2018 22:12

Cherry Ripe bars (Aussie Cadburys) are bloody lovely too. I always get my mates to bring them back.

Tomatoesrock · 22/08/2018 22:20

I love a wispa the texture and taste is so smooth.

If I am running about and get hungry a snickers or simply natures dark chocolate and pecan nut.

Sophisticatedsarcasm · 22/08/2018 22:28

Kinder bueno.

grumpy4squash · 22/08/2018 22:36

Pretty much anything from Montezumas. They used to do a grapefruit 'dollop' (their word for chocolate button) and they were amazing.
Some of the Hotel Chocolat stuff is good too.

Fry’s chocolate cream! And Fry’s five centre chocolate cream.

I see so many threads about it, I wonder why they ever stopped making it! Confused

DragonNoodleCake · 22/08/2018 22:38
