Came across a story in the daily mail about him being James Bond and loads of people are saying James Bond should stay white!! Aibu to think he would make a great James Bond!!

I think Aidan Turner portray a cold blooded assassin but I still have James Norton as my top bet.

I see Idris has tweeted ‘the name’s Elba, Idris Elba’, wonder if there’s anything to it or him being mischievous.

Btw, I thought he would be a good Bond, but his recent films weren’t great, so I went off the idea.

I'd like to see Jamie Dorman play Bond, just because. He can do the cold thing as per The Fall. I haven't seen the Shades of Grey saga but he has bags if sex appeal.

Otherwise if we had to pick from the list that seems to be circulating then James Norton. Please, please not Hiddleston. He was great in the Night Manager but I keep expecting him to tap dance or do something really cheesy. He seems lovely but really insecure and keen to please. Not reconcilable with Bond.

Glad someone else has mentioned Dan Stevens! Definitely not too well-known. Don't think Matthew Crawley, he did a great little film called The Guest (may be on Netflix?) that shows the ice-cold killer side wonderfully.

Too many people think Tom Hardy, I think he's all wrong for it - perfect for the baddy, but not Bond.

If we are specifically looking at black British actors than David Oyelowo is a great shout

John Boyega and Daniel Kayluua (sp?) are both too young.

If not a black Bond, though I agree it's time
both Richard Madden and Kit Harington Of Game Of Thrones are excellent shouts but too young.

James Norton and Michael Fassbender would be high on my list
