Or are Audi drivers all morons?

6 week's holiday with DC and doing a lot more driving at all times of day and evening.

It's got to be 90% of the time, when there is a car up my arse, itching to take over, doing a lot more than speed limit, undertaking on motorway (when I'm at limit), not giving way etc it is mostly always an Audi!!

Why is this? Is it just me? Do you know any nice, decent people who drive Audi's? Are they all failed Nicky Lauder's? It's annoying me now. AIBU?

I'm an Audi driver. I agree with you op. I see so many Audi drivers on the roads driving likes arses, but so are BMW and Mercedes drivers. But I'm sure no one will admit to driving like a prick!

VVWW - you have the law the wrong way round. See, www.thecarexpert.co.uk/how-accurate-is-a-car-speedometer/

There definitely is a correlation between bad driving and the car being driven. Not 100% of the time but it is rare I see someone not using indicators and is not in a 'flash' car.

Here it's posh 4x4s mainly jaguar, Porsche, bmw and land rovers.

I get the pip with small cars like KAs, Corsas, etc; 9 out of 10 times when you see someone completely oblivious to road rules it's a young girl in a car like that, texting away, thinking they are the only people on the road. They live in a different dimension, it seems.

So, OP, it's the drivers not the cars. Some people hate Audis, some people judge KA drivers....

Dh has an Audi and I can confirm he drives like an idiot. He had slight tendencies before getting one but has gone so much worse since.

I drive an Audi

I am not a moron

I have a BMW 1 series for my company car. I can't wait for the lease to be up as people are generally pretty horrible to me as a driver in it. If I get lost or don't know where I am - wrong lane etc - people won't let me into their lane as they assume I am a BMW wanker trying to cut them up or push in

I drive a 1 Series and an old Fiesta, the attitude I get when driving the BMW is exactly the same as the one you get, when I drive the Fiesta, I'm much more likely to get someone driving right up my arse or trying to bully me because I'm driving a 'slow', small car.

Stereotyping sucks, let's not do it in any context.

Also confirmation bias is a thing, I watch dashcam videos on YouTube sometimes and if someone in an Astra acts the twat, the comments are 'wow, that guy is a twat'. If someone in a BMW does it, it's 'wow, BMW drivers are twats'.

Maybe I'm not getting the 'light hearted' vibe from this thread, but it really does wind me up. I'm a safe, courteous driver, don't judge me because of what I drive.

Definitely ,BMWs have a higher than average number of arrogant, thick and rude drivers behind the wheel. Even if I could afford one I would not buy one because I don't want to be associated with

Definitely BMWs have a higher than average number of arrogant, thick and rude drivers behind the wheel. Even if I could afford one I wouldn't buy a BMW. Been completely turned off them by encountering do many bellends driving them.
