Dd has just finished college. Not going to uni this year but maybe next year if she can decide on a course.

She's just got a job in a shop.minimum wage. Wibu to ask her for rent? And if so how much?

It was clear from mid-thread OP isn't on benefits so I doubt most think that

As OP mentioned loss of Child Ben + Child Maintenance I assumed her DDs dad is no longer responsible for child maintenance, and that OP has had a baby with current partner who is working anyway, so why would there be any benefits claim. Even Council Tax discount wouldn't come into it, there are 2 adults in the home anyway that's without counting DD so responsibility for full Council Tax was there anyway.

Unless I've misread and Child Maintenance refers to something else.

That summary is correct @MistressDeeCee

I also have savings put by to help her through uni and/or buy a car. Some people are talking as if I'm giving up all responsibility for her!
