LlamaPyjamas are you northern? DH apparently never had cornflake tart. He's from That London. Uncivilised, clearly.
I've also just realised how inadequately I've been feeding DC.... the oldest is 2.5 and she hasn't yet lived!!!
Hmmmmmm cornflake tart......

Mint cracknel

Yep, I still miss them to this day.

My childhood was Vesta curries, Mr Kipling cakes, Angel Delight, Findus Crispy Pancakes, Steakhouse Grills, tinned fruit and evaporated milk. You name it, any old convenience food crap as my parents can't cook, they only heat things up. Even any time we had a proper meal with potatoes and vegetables, the veg was stewed to death and the meat dry and overcooked.

When I discovered fresh food, cooked from scratch it was an epiphany. No, I do not miss one single item of the above remotely.

Elllicam · 11/08/2018 06:27

@ChromeWaves you can still get frisps! www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/300639304 Go and enjoy Smile

HulaMelody · 11/08/2018 06:56

I loved Supermousse. My gran used to buy those rank little frozen mousse tubs from farm foods all the time but if she bought the fancy ones it was like Christmas Grin

HulaMelody · 11/08/2018 06:56

Also, Pyramints.
The amount of sugar must have been horrendous but they were amazing!

@ChromeWaves you can also get them from amazon, they are extortionate but might be worth it as a once off :)

Pancake roll from the Chinese takeaway. You CANNOT get the old school pancake rolls any more. They are all the mini vegetarian spring rolls - I have absolutely no problem with this concept as I’m a vegetarian (trying to be) - but the old school ones were something else. And they just don’t make them any more.

sagasleathertrousers · 11/08/2018 07:40

Do they still make mini kievs? Off to google...

Teenagerwoes · 11/08/2018 08:23

Birds banana crunch, I’ve decided I’m going to attempt to make it this weekend!

We used to get those mousse ice creams from farm foods Grin also the wee bags of puff crisps (plans trip to farm foods)!

Meanies - 5p pickled onion deliciousness

Tangy toms ( but I got these in Home Bargains the other day for 15p and they did not disappoint, very tangy and tomatoey)!

The fry’s chocolate bar with the variety filling, only ever had it once but I liked it!

Mint crisp ice lollies.
