munchcrunchbunch · 04/08/2018 19:44

Haven't RTFT but I miss the Heinz chocolate sponge pudding with chocolate sauce that you used to get in a tin! My Gran used to get them in when we went to hers for dinner. They were amazing! I'm sure Cadburys used to do one too but it wasn't as nice.

Frosty6611 · 05/08/2018 12:15

I agree with school cornflake cake and the Cadburys puds, I used to love puds so much and cadburys should never have got rid.

Also miss Marble bars, Wispa mint, Thorntons strawberry flavour chocolate with Oink written on it and pickled onion Discos.

CanIhavedessertfirst · 05/08/2018 12:27

Oh and onken mousse, the cadburys tins of chocolate pudding and Iceland chicken tikka kievs

Frosty6611 · 05/08/2018 12:30

Ooh yes loved the Onken Mousses too.

School cornflake cake YES - never been able to replicate my own. Also my primary school used to sell these HUGE chocolate chip cookies, the size of a small child’s face (or at least that’s how they felt at the time.) - always warm, soft, crispy on edges.. the chocolate chips gooey and melted. Sometimes you’d be lucky and you’d get a cookie that had mixed in with another cookie, and it’d be even bigger.

Wotsits that you cook in the oven - these were brought back recently but just aren’t the same as they used to be - I remember them being HUGE, very orange, and more Wotsit shaped rather than chip/fry shapes. Mum used to get them in Iceland.

Walls balls - I think these were like mini rissoles? Sausage meat coated in bright orange breadcrumbs. Soooo tasty, I used to devour them as a kid.

Vegetable chips - normal chips but with vegetables sneaked in, they were shaped like normal chips but were purple, orange, green etc - think I’d like to see these again just for the nostalgia tbh!! Mum used to give these to me when I turned into a vegetable hating child and I ate them without knowing. These were in Iceland too AFAIK!

Monster Munch that turned your tongue blue...

Busybusybust · 05/08/2018 12:40

Cadbury’s mile tray bars.

PatrickTheStarfish · 05/08/2018 13:21

The old version of walkers BBQ flavour crisps. They were in a black packet as park of the multipack. They were delicious.
The recent ones don’t taste any thing like them.

PatrickTheStarfish · 05/08/2018 13:22

Oh! And cheese flavoured snaps!

GeorgeIII · 05/08/2018 13:28

Vienna biscuits. They were triangular wafer biscs with choc covering.

CanIhavedessertfirst · 05/08/2018 14:00

I've just remembered Riva biscuits, which my nan used to buy for my grandad. He'd let me have one as a treat and they were amazing. A few years back, when the Olympics were held in London, Cadburys brought out a wafer bar that tasted almost exactly like Rivas. Alas, both are no more

Frosty6611 · 05/08/2018 14:21

Omg I’d totally forgotten about Rivas. So yummy!

Omg Rivas!!!

I may have just added a pack of Trios to my Sainsburys order and will be like a child tomorrow waiting for them to come.

charliebear78 · 05/08/2018 20:48

Loved Rivas-Though had totally forgotten about them until this thread

Frosty6611 · 06/08/2018 08:30

Thanks Vampire, now googling Fultons. 😁

NastyCats · 10/08/2018 23:24

The Romantica frozen dessert mentioned upthread. We always had it on holiday and special occasions.

There was a poster here who posted on a thread similar to this one who was involved in the development of the Fuse bar. I loved Fuses! And Applause bars.

I also loved the Mr Men lollies. My nanna always had them in her freezer.

Also Sainsbury's 'chollah' bread which was a very sweet, soft plated bread. St Ivel Gold went with it beautifully but I think it was to unhealthy to be allowed to continue. My brother and I used to eat it by the finger-full. Shock

Those Winks whipplescrumptious delight bars you could buy in the early 2000s. Ok, I was married by then and not technically a child, but they were lovely. Also proper Cadbury's chocolate including Old Jamaica which we always got for birthdays and in our stockings and we thought was really grown up as well as gorgeous.

There are some websites that sell USA goods that you do not see here these days

americanfizz.co.uk/

www.usafoodstore.co.uk/

NastyCats · 10/08/2018 23:27

Oh, and the Raspberry Mivvis with clotted cream ice cream. So good but I could only ever get them from one place in Wales. And Gino Ginelli ice cream especially toffee fudge. The advert used to go "Gini, oh, Gino Ginelli's!'

NastyCats · 10/08/2018 23:28

Not Winks, Wonka!

Timeisslippingaway · 10/08/2018 23:29

My mum used to buy these frozen strawberry mouse things, they were amazing. She has no idea whatbim talking about if I ever mention it though 😂

Timeisslippingaway · 10/08/2018 23:30

Oh and some of the food we used to get at school a mint traybake thing that I used to beg my younger brother to bring home for me after I had left, he was very reluctant I don't know why 😂
