Bluesheep- I saw those jammy marshmallow biscuits in Home Bargains recently and sure Morrisons still sell lemon puffs.

LadyRussell · 02/08/2018 19:11

You can still get Butterscotch Angel Delight

ScreamingValenta · 02/08/2018 19:12

Powdered ice cream (Sainsbury's raspberry ripple variety)

ladydickisathingapparently · 02/08/2018 19:13

Texan Bars were dreamy. Also used to get these wonderful chewy ginger sweets but I haven’t seen them the 70s.

Lovestonap · 02/08/2018 19:13

yy to secret bars
and 'ice magic' the chocolate sauce that went hard when it hit the ice cream

Trashcanoracle · 02/08/2018 19:14

Bluesheep- sure I saw those jammy marshmallow biscuits in phone Bargains the other week and I think Morrisons still do lemon puffs.
Remember those too as "visitors" biscuits!

Justinonmybroomstick · 02/08/2018 19:14

Oh my!!!! Op, today I went shopping with my daughter and I picked up a cake and said to her I bet it tastes nothing like the Sara Lee we got back in the day. She said to me who’s Sara Lee? I felt really sorry for her 😂 despite the fact that where we live life is very different to when I got here more than 40 years ago.

Bluesheep8 · 02/08/2018 19:14

trashcanoracle thank you! Will check both out!

YeTalkShiteHen · 02/08/2018 19:15

Creamola foam was manna from heaven! Loved it!

You can still get Dan cakes in my wee shop up the road. The half cakes?

UpstartCrow · 02/08/2018 19:16

Pound shop Pacers arent bad, but I do miss Mingles.

kenandbarbie · 02/08/2018 19:16

Llama I think I went to your school!

leanne9312 · 02/08/2018 19:16

@LlamaPyjamas I'm a school cook and have the recipe for it :p

MrsRubyMonday · 02/08/2018 19:17

I've bought the lemon puffs fairly recently, there's still a pack in the cupboard. Found them in the Tesco foreign foods aisle.

Mine would be crinkle cut mini cheddars. Much better than the normal ones..

Amanduh · 02/08/2018 19:19

They don’t make the sara lee dc gateau anymore and it’s not sold in the UK. I miss it too op!!

concretesieve · 02/08/2018 19:19

Oh - yy to the school cornflakes tart. I think some clever MNers have the recipe for it.

missyB1 · 02/08/2018 19:20

The jammy biscuits are called jam mallows, I order them from Ocado. Haven’t seen Lemon puffs for years, God i loved them!

Also miss peppermint custard and pink custard.

RuggerHug · 02/08/2018 19:20

Bagel bites, super Mario ice cream....mmmmmmmm.....

eggsandwich · 02/08/2018 19:20

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 02/08/2018 19:21

I miss proper Cadbury's chocolate.

Silvercatowner · 02/08/2018 19:22

There was a cake that I loved and miss. Rectangular and layered, like flaky pastry, with jam and cream in the layers. We had it regularly as pudding after tea. (But having been diagnosed as coeliac 5 years ago its academic- if it was available again I wouldn’t be able to eat it.)

concretesieve · 02/08/2018 19:22

Oops - x-post with leanne.

mavydoes · 02/08/2018 19:22

Secret Bars

Christmas Pud sweets only out at Xmas.

Old jamaica chocolate

Original irn bru (still get it but not made any more!)

Coconut boosts were awesome.

Crackin you still get for ice cream.

LuxuryWoman2018 · 02/08/2018 19:26

Abbey crunch biscuits and Banjo bars. Yes to the Sara Lee gateaux although I think Iceland do very similar.

Ross made oven crunchies I think they were called, like tater tots you get in the US

eggsandwich · 02/08/2018 19:27

Ikabod we had that at the weekend they’ve brought it back.

Whatsmyname14 · 02/08/2018 19:27

Chocolate crunch they used to make at school.
